Norge Vera is on the bump for Kanny.
  2. The Sox should fear their manager more than they fear the rest of the AL Central
  3. Dusty should throw some position players to close this game out to piss TLR off.
  4. i'm out, another game where we aren't the better team, but also did nothing to help ourselves (both players and staff)
  5. I just don't understand why that has anthing to do with it, although I am sure you are right. The object should be to win the game not get Gio to his max pitch count.
  6. Sad but true, Will Billy Hamilton gone, Tony is both the fastest and most healthy runner on the White Sox,
  7. Leury getting thrown out at home I think deserves a GO PACK A FUCKING LUNCH JOE
  8. truly is the most dangerous thing a baseball player can do
  9. Kopech is the Ace. Not Giolito. Not Cease. Cease is turning into Rich Harden.
  10. Maybe they wouldn't get so many leg injuries running to first if they stopped hitting grounders so much
  11. If Harrison isn't going to start over Leury against a LHP, then they might as well DFA him.
  12. Golf outing tomorrow so I am posting earlier as to not be derelict. Some wacky game times this weekend that I hopefully need to post threads for. So the fuse or fire is almost lit....are the boys ready for liftoff in a NASA hotbed? Let's all hope so as Dusty pantsed Tony last season as I am sure we all still recall. The season series last year down there was brutal sans some Hot Carl. Hopefully we get another Michael K (not NYY version) Sunday night to wow us again. Below is a nice little preview I found from some site as the pathetic Chicago media doesn't have the resources....at least that I could find. Maybe former poster Greg Pratt could talk to his bosses about that. I didn't post odds as they are not forever in our favor this weekend. LFG Chicago White Sox Record: 30-31 Houston Astros Record: 39-24 Friday’s Starters: Lucas Giolito 4-2, 3.88 ERA vs Framber Valdez 6-3, 2.64 ERA Saturday’s Starters: Johnny Cueto 0-3, 3.53 ERA vs Justin Verlander 8-2, 1.94 ERA Sunday’s Starters: TBD vs Cristian Javier 3-3, 3.20 ERA What to Watch: Houston comes into the series with the clear pitching advantage. They will have their two best starters going in this matchup so it could be tough sledding for the White Sox. Chicago will need to make sure that their offense carries them within this contest and hope that their starters can dominant. Justin Verlander has been lights out this season despite returning from injury and he has helped Houston remain atop the division. The Astros at home can be a tough team to beat so the White Sox will need to be ready.

  14. I always pick another team to follow when the Sox are bad . well, i guess they are still bad, so i'll start looking.
  15. Rick Hahn spent $20M more this season than Houston. Has the same roster holes, the same pathetic depth, same lack of any quality coming through the system. The Sox still do not have a starting Right Fielder, a starting Second Baseman and a starting Catcher. Houston lost Correa, Greinke, Springer, McCullers, Osuna and had guys ready to plug and play or they go and sign the right free agents. There is a Grand Canyon sized chasm between the Houston Astros and the Chicago White Sox.
  16. the biggest issue with this team at the moment is an absolute trash bullpen.
  17. It is a total embarrassment of an inning, all started with the dreaded lead off walk, and not having a quality reliever available and warmed up. It is the home run derby combined with batting practice. and 10 runs and 14 batters later…finally over….
  18. This just isn’t a WS contending roster. The injuries and regression have made this a very average team. Giolito’s downfall since the sticky ban is depressing, as he was a great story for a few years.
  19. This team not 1% better than losing in playoffs to Astros last year…..Hahn sucks
  20. Detroit Tigers are to Chicago White Sox as Chicago White Sox are to Houston Astros.
  21. Who are these annoying Apple TV announcer? Very annoying
  22. They should have the field levels audio all game on the Apple TV broadcasts. It's actually better.
  23. You know, the solution to this is to make sure you don't hit a ton of grounders on the infield and to just walk to 1B. But we're not very good at doing either of those things.
  24. Apple TV - GIDP probability: 13%. Turns out it was 100%.
  25. lol chris young "i understand you have to send him"
  26. he's gonna make like 18 million and hit below 200...whos doing this?
  27. It's like a non-stop madlib [SOX PLAYER] left the game with a [BODY PART] injury and will be out [NUMBER] [DAYS/WEEKS/MONTHS]. [CHARLOTTE KNIGHTS PLAYER] will be called up to replace him.
  28. Training staff is horrible, TLR IS HORRIBLE, Hahn is horrible, JR is Horrible only bright spot and hope for the future is Anderson, Vaughn, Burger, Kopech and Cease. It seems Hendriks is also made porcelain now also build around these 5 Mendick could become a younger better Garcia as a utility guy for the infield Bring up ; Yolbert Sanchez, Yoelqui Cespedes, Oscar Colas Trial by fire, let the kids play, what do we have to lose? Colson Montgomery is Minimum 2 years away Anybody who thinks the injuries are going to magically go way, is delusional. What could we have done with the 84 million we spent on Grandahl and the 50;million on Kuechel? you know what we of done? Nothing, Hahn, Williams and JR ARE TOO STUPID Hahn always shops the junkyard for second basemen. He thinks spending MILLIONS ON BRITTLE RELIEF PITCHERS IS THE ANSWER
  29. if i never see luis in an open stance again that'd be fine
  30. I could do without half the White Sox fans in here
  31. Calm down my Soxtalk friends. It is early in the game

Vera strikes out his 1st batter with a 100 mph fastball. Though the Fayetteville announcers note that the gun can read hot.
  33. I see Tim Anderson is wasting his time playing SS with the Knights.
  34. Yeah, White Sox need to get out of their own way before worrying about other teams in the Central.
  35. I'm to the point where Eloy should sit until August if he has to. No sense in rushing someone as fragile as he is. Moncada isn't going to get benched for Burger, therefore only DH is going to be an option for Burger. I'm fine with this.

That's a weak ass argument. You have Sanchez and Sosa in that scenario. Harrison is cooked. Mendick has earned his spot. We have already wasted enough time fucking around with Leury and Harrison as the starting 2B. I'm not saying Mendick is the long term answer, but for now he has the job until he squanders it. Harrison's time is up.
  37. I know we're a ways off from the trade deadline, but if the FO is serious about winning this year, they have to acquire a big lefty bat soon. Only 13 of the remaining 101 games are against Detroit's pitchers.

A desktop Lenovo. I've tried to connect them via wifi but I can't get one to recognize the other one but I'm not the most tech savvy guy around. I would need maybe a 25 ft. HDMI cable . My monitor is hooked up to the desktop by the old VGA method but it does have a HDMI port as does the computer and the TV have several. The computer has only one HDMI port. MY TV has Chromecast but I don't think my computer does. I think I actually have got the computer to recognize the TV before actually but without Chromecast on the computer I couldn't get my monitor picture on the TV . If you think you have a solution PM me. Thanks.
  39. But Tony LaRussa is costing them games.

I think the 44 just came from box score though which sums up that column
  41. They only thing they have to fear is fear itself...and their manager. Injuries, lack of a good roster, and TLR will be much more impactful to losing the division than the other teams.
  42. We get it™ Used by permission.
  43. It's almost like they could have had Harper instead or something. But seriously, Rick Hahn is not good at his job. I think almost all of us know this by now.
  44. I think if he stays on board they need to get someone else in as a hitting assistant to work with some of these guys. While dudes like Vaughn, Jose, Mendick, and Burger have shown marked improvement under his tutelage, you have guys like Eloy, Luis, and Yoan who look like complete crap. Eloy and Luis, especially, regressed considerably from their minor league performances (accounting for an expected dip stepping up to MLB). It seems these are the guys who need a different voice/approach that Frank just can't offer them.

The offense took off after they sent a black hole to the minors. Go figure.
  46. Lol sign Trea Turner. Cmon Ron.

This is so annoying. Liam will always have a special place in my heart for using his time with the commish to ask for the end of blackouts so we can just get mlbtv and not be shuffled around forty streaming services.
