  1. You seem to keep insinuating in your posts that LaRussa was not a problem. He clearly was. Not the whole problem, but a pretty damn big one.
  2. Anderson isn't a top 30 player in baseball The Sox didn't develop those guys. They traded them because they don't have an eye for talent. They thought Tatis and Semien for Samardzija and Shields was a good idea Everyone involved can go f*** themselves
  3. 5 points
Strikes out the side. 8Ks. Methinks Mena isn't going to fly under the radar much longer.
  4. There’s been one season in the past 100+ years in which this team has won a playoff series. I don’t really blame the fanbase for its cynicism.
  5. Vaughn has had some very good at bats today
  6. A single tear descends down Yaz's face as he remembers the shift can no longer hurt him.
  7. I'm still happy we did the Grandal deal...we targeted the top choice at a position and spent the money.
  8. I have no problem with reading an opponents signs. It’s been a part of the game for as long as they’ve been using signs. What the Astros did was not that. There is no comparison and to do so is an absurd false equivalency. Even if the Sox had the Astros signs in 2005, it takes nothing away from their dominant series. It also sounds like Ozzie is full of s%*# here and is desperately trying to be relevant in a game that has passed him by. Something that he had a hand in but still refuses to do the work to get back into.
  9. Stealing signs is as old as this game… if we weren’t using technology, no asterisk needed.
  10. I respect your opinion but to me it's about winning....and this organization since the start of the 2007 season has been among the worst in baseball at doing that. I take no pride in seeing Tatis do well for San Diego or Rodon for the Giants or Semien now for the Rangers and how about what Tracy Thompson has been doing since the All-Star break with the Dodgers? To each his own and if that's how you enjoy the game more power to you. That's just not how I look at things, I want to root for a team that I have pride in and that's been in very short supply for a very long time.
  11. He doesn't have the perfect arm or accuracy...but pretty darned close. When firing on all guns, Robert is right up there with Acuna Jr., Tatis, Chisholm, Corbin Carroll, Betts, Trout/Ohtani and Julio Rodriguez in terms of all the "loudest tools" players.
  12. There is something special about his lack of fear up there, even at 0-2 vs a lefty.

  14. Vince Velasquez is still Vince Velasquez after all
  15. Especially poor foreign young men of color amirite
  16. Sox fans: We are depressed Ozzie: f*** you, let me make it worse.
  17. Trying to get him to 3000 hits???
  18. Lousy play must be contagious in the White Sox organization. Charlotte was swept in a doubleheader yesterday. They were beaten 4-0 and 17-0. Yeah, 17-0.
  19. Winning cures all. Come home 7-6 and get some good pitcher starts, we’re all feeling a lot better about this team.
  20. You have successfully been gaslighted by the organization.
  21. Are we done blaming LaRussa?
  22. 2 points
Why were these guys not on the OD roster? Burger provides more value than Sheets, and Alberto/Romy are somewhat redundant. Banks is clearly a better option than Diekman.
  23. Don’t care, a buc beating is a happy time
  24. That's one of the best things about baseball. A game tomorrow.
  25. good win boys win the series tomorrow, eh
  26. TA not pulling the ball with RISP feels like a miracle
  27. I would like some starting pitching to go with this offense.
  28. Seems like every time we score, our pitcher allows a run. It’s insane how many base runners they’ve allowed this week.
  29. Your thought process is fine for SoxTalk, but it's way over the head of Sox management.
  30. 2 points
Mena throwing some real nice looking sliders and changeups this inning. Strikes out the side. What a beast. 5Ks in 6 outs.
  31. We'd all be a lot more optimistic about what we were seeing if our pitching wasn't Paniagua level.
  32. 2 points
Mena strikes out 2 but gives up a solo shot on the fastball in the 1st. He also looks thicker and got a haircut since last season.
  33. 2 points
    That's a new development
  34. 2 points
He provides innings to save the bullpen.
  35. If we can't get to Vince Velasquez God help us.
  36. Yeah yeah yeah jerry sucks and hahn is an idiot we all know that. The White Sox have produced Tatis, Semien, Rodon, and Tim. Those are 4 players in the Top 30. They have helped hone Cease, a Top 5 pitcher in the game. There's Robert and Moncada who could break into that 5-some. This organization has a lot of problems. But they have made 5 of the best players in baseball. Not only that, they are all entertaining players. Not too many other clubs can say that. It's still great to be a Sox fan. How about a little positivity around here for God's sake
  37. Avi Garcia...failed to ever become extension worthy Drafts Keon Barnum Kennyn Walker Trayce Thompson LAD/Luis Gonzalez/Micker Adolfo/Steele Walker/Alex Call hanging on in WSH Carson Fulmer Zack Collins Nick Madrigal Courtney Hawkins Burger (miracle he even made big leagues after what he had to overcome physically) Z. Burdi Garrett Crochet (injured, was always a question if he could stand up to starting duty from draft day) Vaughn (jury still out) Rodon and TA7 and Sale...the three main successes Let's not get into second round draft picks lol. Barren wasteland.
  38. Worst pep talk ever.
  39. Man going back to our draft classes the last few years is kind of depressing, not many bright spots
  40. At least we got the most hits inMLB so far, and scoring lots of runs, but we do have the worst pitching staff in the majors so far.
  41. Mock TWTW all we want. Sox early this season look like the recent teams of the rebuild. Virtually no WTW. Or maybe Fathom is right. Team has very little talent.
  42. im happy you feel positive about the complete failures over the last 20 years
  43. If your thesis is based on guys that blossomed elsewhere, you might not have a very sound argument. None of this matters if your front office can't build a team around talented stars. They deserve zero praise.
  44. More trash….yay!!
  45. He is not helped by our bullpen, particularly long relievers. Diekman has already cost us 2 games.
  46. Trayce. The circumstances of how all those players got away are the embarrassing part. Sure we can also take credit for TA7, Robert, Abreu, Sale, Q, Alexei Ramirez, too. But what is the winning percentage of this team since 2013? That's the bottom line. Results.
