    Cowards. All of them.

Welp, there it is. No need to speak to press now, statement is submitted
  3. Nice way to end the season. Hoping for a better 2025 season.

He basically said the same s%*# last year, and everything got worse.
  5. I'm looking forward to buying into the hype of our MiLB teams. I'm going to bask in the feeling of it's going to get better. I'm going to believe the next manager is going to grow with the team. I'm too old to be pessimistic. Life is too precious.

    f*** you, Jerry
  7. 4 points
    Very brave of Jerry.
  8. Schriffen is no dummy, but I doubt that he will figure things out. I didn't see any improvement. I finally stopped watching. It was the combination of a bad team and its play-by-play guy insulting our intelligence by trying to sell an awful club. He also needs to learn more about White Sox history because he knows nothing about it.
  9. “I’ve gone to most of the tailgates this season, the big ones put together by the fans,” Schriffen said. “The last one of the season, I was out there and it was an awesome turnout. We are talking hundreds of people and a fan came up to me and said, ‘Early on, I may not have been your biggest fan, and actually one of your biggest critics. But you’ve really come around, and I’ve come around on you just because the way you stuck it out.’ 😂😂. I’m sure this fan very much exists

Especially when Getz trades them for a near zero meaningful return. They also package Benintendi with someone for salary relief and decline Moncadas option and…although those two both sucked, they are at least mildly serviceable MLB level players. If you thought this looked like a AAA this season just wait.
  11. If you had to live in Detroit you’d be booing too.
  12. They faced the awful Angels and a team that clinched the playoffs in the first game of the series. Are you for real? They still suck.
  13. 3 points
Exactly the reason for it. Doesn’t need to face the music in person.
  14. 3 points
    Great statement

As long it doesn't cost money, as long as I have my hands in everything as long as I hire incompetent people for important positions .... Yeah Jerry whatever
  16. Everyone’s entitled to their opinion even when they’re wrong.
  17. IDK, maybe he should speak less? Or not at all? We'd all be better off either way.
  18. I watch but half watch. Announcers either way really have never bothered me. I loved Harry and Hawk. The others the Sox have had were fine. But Schriffen makes my blood boil. And I think it’s the fake rosy outlook he gives everything and his lack of knowledge about the game. He declared the bullpen fixed for 2025. Really? He said just yesterday Benetendis leadership kept the season from becoming unglued. They set a record. Give the listeners more credit. Besides, most know say more about the team than he does. He lives in fantasyland and anyone that gives him the time of day in the clubhouse can do no wrong on the field.
  19. Smart guy to get off social media. First of all you can't tell if what's on there is true or fake news or a doctored photo or video. It's only going to get worse with AI. Nobody should use social media. It frankly is disgusting. Sox can do better than Schiff but whatever. A 40 win team doesn't deserve a great announcer.
  20. Schriffen is terribly nauseating to listen to
  21. So lemme get this straight. With the "Cinderella teams" that lost 100 games and go to the post season next year, Mr. Reinsdorf you decided after 2 100 loss seasons you are planning a 3rd one. s%*# organization you're running their Jerry. There are not enough middle fingers or F Yous to salute you. I don't think I can ever support a Reinsdorf team again. All of the bulls on the planet can't create the amount of bullshit you have created. You love baseball? It's like the guy who beats the crap out of his wife and says he still loves her, Too bad Bud Light doesn't do their real men of genius radio commercials. He could be a good one. Sox fans need to stop fantasizing bring up the Orioles. THEY ARE NOT THE FRICKEN ORIOLES. Hopefully I've said my peace.
  22. Trolling your partner and getting into Twitter fights with fans isn’t relatable or professional.

Dear Jerry, Go f*** Yourself. Signed White Sox fans
  24. 2 points
Yep, trading Crochet and Robert is really going to energize the fan base
  25. I would rather get a star pitcher vs a collapsed prospect again.
  26. 2 points
Jerry had a ghostwriter. He just put his name on it. An act of contrition isnt his style.

Alright season is over no use dwelling in the past.
  28. No, 2 are worse, the 1916 A’s and the 1962 Mets, we beat out the Mets by percentage points even though we had I more loss.
  29. I've never seen a team get booed on the last game of the season at home... when they are going to the playoffs.
  30. -1 other team in the history of modern baseball is worse. "Success!" Talk about a low bar to get over...
  31. 2 points
These statements ring incredibly hollow without action. The fact that he hired Grifol, then Getz, show he has no interest in winning. He’s 88 years old and spent much of the last 20 years watching his teams not compete. You would think he would want to make a run for it with one of the two teams. Hopefully he is still wanting to sell the Sox, and we get a buyer who wants to compete for championships.

Did I miss the announcement of when Soxfest is?? Jerry forgot to mention that this team finished the season 5-1.....sure the Tigers were probably hung over or still drunk the last 2 games but hey a win is a win.
  33. Having read a whole bunch of his posts on this forum....I don't know about that.
  34. Let me get this straight. Back in the day, JR's supposed reservation against Hinch sas the trashcan scandal. Now the architect of the whole thing is a candidate?
  35. 2 points
The statement is worthless. Face the press, and bring in some national guys who aren’t afraid to ask questions. Tell people you and your GM will answer fans questions at Soxfest. The old we owe you but never repaying ….everyone knows people like that.
  36. They'll probably finds ways not to use him in favor of the false hope named Vargas.
  37. He thought he was doing the right thing but he was dead wrong in just about every move, he’s the wrong guy for the job.
  38. I don't want to get political here so I better pass on commenting. Thing about Twitter/X is there's a lot of flat out lying on there. I'm 100 percent for letting people say whatever they want HOWEVER it is divisive and annoying to have to pursue many avenues to see if a Twitter post is true or flat out made up b.s. If you are not logged into Twitter/X you don't have to worry about it, don't have to do your own fact checking.

It shows how insulated he is to think this is all that is needed
  40. Did Sosa shorten his swing a little? I mean if he can hit 20 bombs and some ribbies he can keep second warm for a while.
  41. 2 points
What goof? ****** I hope he takes questions from reporters but this a good statement and surprisingly humbling and reflective from Jerry. It sounds like he’s aware of his failing as owner and wants to correct them. I wonder if this means a director of analytics is coming to the org?
  42. 2 points
Probably the most fluid the offense has looked all season
  43. You watch 162 2024 Chicago White Sox games from start to finish and get back to me with your duress
  44. He has called left field right field and vice versa. Multiple times he has gotten so excited the Sox actually scored a run, he thought they tied or took the lead when they had not. Has screwed up the outs several times, and even called the Padres the Dodgers last week. I don’t hold it against you for liking his broadcast. Everyone has different tastes. I just see a guy trying to sell bullshit. I get, they only gave him bullshit to sell. Still, respect the audience a little bit. I’ve stated, I actually like South side stand up, if used properly. But he used it like a bat flip after a homer to make the score 10-2 with 2 out in the bottom of the 9th.
  45. They have over 20 managerial candidates lined up to be interviewed so I'm sure there's more than a few who are on that list. I would love to see Sal Fasano get an interview. One of the nicest and smartest baseball guys I've ever talked to.
  46. We haven't really "seen this all before." Kenny was a minor league director of ops, who became a moderately successful GM, with a very cavalier attitude, which ended up burning him out. Hahn was an Ivy League educated contract guru, who became one of the most sought-after execs in baseball for a number of years, assembled a team of prospects who failed, and was fired. Getz is a former player and baseball lifer who was most likely over-hired and he's trying create a controlled fire to burn it all down - some of which is his own mess. Getz isn't like any GM we've had in my lifetime. He'll probably fail, because White Sox, but I'm not going to hate the guy for trying. I just don't understand all the hate. It's just a fuckin game and he's doing his best. Motherfuckers need to touch some grass and give the guy a couple years. Yeah, I'd prefer a different GM, but that's not what happened. At some point, being a decent human being supersedes my mouth breather sports fan bias and I'm just not gonna be a psycho and post 6000 times a year because I thought a trade sucked. To each their own.
  47. Nothing Getz says actually matters. The only thing that matters is what he does moving forward. The odds are against him, but I wish him the best. I just don't get the vitriol towards him. It's not like he's doing this on purpose. As I always say, sports are dumb, and the mean spiritedness heading his way is ridiculous.
