DFAd by the White Sox is baseball slang for its time to find another line of work.4 points

This is objectively not true. Colson Montgomery has gotten off to an awful start, with a .074/.167/.185 slash line.3 points

This organization is in desperate need of a complete uprooting. Everyone should be fired and bring in someone to build this thing. Too many half measures leaving traces of the same old s%*#. Reset button please, it’s sorely needed.3 points

I don’t think this is really a new development, but I still don’t understand what’s in it for Ishbia to wait for an indefinite period of time for the Sox when he could have just bought the Twins right now.3 points

Ishbia isn't nuts...this has already been worked out IMO. I seriously doubt Ishbia is going to allow JR to handle his investment for the next 10 years.2 points

If they were the least bit serious about winning this year they would have spent a few bucks for a average closer. God knows we have the money2 points

I turned it onto the Tigers broadcast in the 9th. After the first walk you could tell Bennetti knew what was coming. It still hurts that he is with the Tigers and we are stuck with Schriffen. Thanks JR.2 points

I am old enough to remember those halcyon days when the Sox were .500, and some guys were pumping this team up as better than we thought.2 points

This s%*# happened when the Sox spent all of their money on a bullpen, too.2 points

Booser with hopefully a confidence building out. He didn't give up a homer, so progress.2 points

Greg Jones is now the only other OF on the 40 man and that dude obviously isn't ready for consistent MLB at bats. Will be interesting.2 points

Can we PLEASE win today to keep our pace of winning one out of every three games, putting us on pace for 54 wins total, so I can win my over bet.2 points

Lmao the pregame show on MLB.tv has the wrong CHSN so I'm watching Bulls pregame not Sox pregame.2 points

Can we PLEASE win this game and not get swept. Can we PLEASE, this year, not make our Central Division opponents appear five or so games better than they are by giving them another 10 free wins that they really don't deserve, if they were playing real teams? If those first two are impossible; can we PLEASE make today's game appear in doubt beyond the 3rd inning (unlike the last two) so I can have some, if even a minimal amount of enjoyment as I try to watch the game today?2 points

He will at least provide some good at bats with a little pop. Better than ole Travis.2 points

He's a monster haha. I think the best part about the "single decision maker" thing is that we know who to blame if it was the wrong decision. Chris Getz made the decision to draft Hagen Smith. It was his first selection, he was the most comfortable in his development staff turning Smith into a good player and he needed to hit on his first selection. I'm good with the decision but I like that we know who made it. I think the scouting director would've taken a bat, saved money and spread out the bonus pool.2 points

I have two corrections for you, against which I will not hear any arguments. 1) While Goldeneye is awesome, it as at best #2 behind Ocarina of Time. 2) Pierce Brosnan is the best Bond.2 points

Agreed. This isn't shocking news to me - it's what JR has been saying all along. I never expected him to sell the team this year.....and even if he was, I never expected him to even hint that he was. To the latter part of your sentence, the only logical answer to me is that Ishbia must have secured a right of first refusal agreement from Reinsdorf when he dropped his Twins bid. Jerry is 89 and Isbhia is 47. He could very well have decided it's worth waiting a few years for the opportunity to own a MLB team in his hometown and in the 3rd largest market. But what if Jerry lives to be 102 like Virginia McCaskey! What if, what if.....not very likely even if Jerry is in relatively good health now. And note that he said he's not interested in selling as long as he's in good health, not until he's dead. Sadly, a lot of people experience a sharp (and often sudden) decline in health when they reach the 9 decade mark of life.1 point

Time to play baldwin at short and let Sosa play. Only platoons I want is the catchers and the right fielders1 point

It isn't that complex either and still get to come with Jerry saying he isn't selling.1 point
-
He can still give up control without selling his stake to lessen the tax burden. The same thing happened when the Orioles were sold.1 point

Yeah. I've been watching the game highlights and checking the box scores but still am not an expert on our lineup/roster. Too many new guys.1 point

Bullshit. The Cubs made almost 100 million on paper last year, are in spitting distance in a weak division and spent the winter crying poor.1 point

GoldenEye was great, we didn't care that the game ran at 10-12 fps in 4 player split screen1 point
