It's actually okay to love the team, appreciate the job Getz and Venable have done, AND think JR is a bad owner. This team, that still has a very low payroll, is playing very well because of the players and coaches. JR had to be convinced to take a no-brainer gamble on Murakami, and look what happened. He has even more money to roll around in while scheming ways to not spend it. Team - Awesome Venable and coaches - Doing a great job Getz - Getting better, learning on the job...still under-qualified JR - Still a shitty owner

Really seems this years team as a group is really cohesive and banding together. New players and current ones seems to be buying in. Players that are hurt want to stay with the team while trying to rehab. Also its the next man up mentality that keeps them going and trying to win. Everyone seems to know what they need to do and help contribute. There might not be many big stars on the team but its a different players helping to step up and win each night. They also seems to be having fun and enjoying playing with each other.Its definitely refreshing after the rebuild of the rebuild this time around.

There is a difference with the way things are configured where the domains without www included are not resolving completely. If that helps anyone effected, please respond here while I continue to do some digging.

The "multiple game collapse" is 8 plate appearances. You realize that is totally insane right? No idea what he thinks about the Sox. His family members follow FutureSox on twitter. Really not sure there's any reason to move off of Roch, but if the scouts determine Lackey is BPA I don't think current positional need should factor into the decision whether to draft him. A lot of things can happen in the couple years (minimum) before he comes up. Teel might already be off catcher by then; he might be ready to move off; he might be hurt, he might be a bust.

Yeah I think the real untold story here is how this owner at the same age as 46/47 has completely turned over a new leaf and totally revitalized and transformed the organization with his youthful energy and can do spirit. It's practically infectious.

How about the last couple years of setting record losses. How about the last road trip they struggled and came back to go 6-1 record. 5 games over .500 in how many years. Not saying this can last but we never thought they would be here now. Maybe another year to start winning would have been thought of. Tho June will be a test for them.

So, here's my little story with this team. I live in SoCal and cancelled MLB.TV during the 121 loss season. I still followed team news, every box score, etc. I was asked constantly asked by friends when I'd cave and order it again. Well, I made it to this season and back in March. I said "I don't think we'll be THAT bad this year. However, I will order MLB.TV again when the White Sox are .500 or better in June". I made it to May. lol. I'm really enjoying this club. Put it this way. The gauntlet of a schedule that we face in June? With no Murakami as well? (I do like Gonzalez, FWIW) If we play .500 or better in June? We're probably going to be in this for the long haul. I don't know if we have the firepower yet to beat Cleveland for the division. Given the outlook of the AL right now, though? We can certainly hunt down a wild card spot if we win 85-86 games. I would think. That would be a big victory for this team. Playoff baseball!? Don't get my hopes up, but I get excited thinking about it.
