There are so many different ways you can make your team better on the margins, and the Sox are bad at all of them4 points

FWIW, Andrew Vaughn has been absolutely awful in the OF this year. Eloy in his limited time in 2021/2022 has been substantially better than Vaughn out there.4 points

Hey, if the lady wants to wear it, all the power to her. That being said, this string of comments requires Charles Barkley and his strange vendetta against the women of San Antonio.4 points

I was definitely trying to convey sarcasm there. Cano sucks and if we're trying any new solution at 2B, it should be Yolbert.4 points

You just basically stole Hahn's trademark line for why they're not making any significant moves at the trade deadline. Send on along to Scott Merkin for a "puff piece" about how much stronger this team will be in the 2nd half.4 points

I’m happy the site is broken tonight because I probably would have said something to get suspended. Tony is a freaking joke. Just a terrible manager who has sucked the life out of this organization. Also, stop trying to make Banks a thing.3 points

TLR needs to resign or be fired tonight. TLR apologists need to go into hibernation. The moves in the 8 th. were senile. Enough is enough. By the way the lefty he brought in was the same that blew the Guardians game in the 9 th his last time out.3 points

Why in the fuck is Kelly allowed to walk them loaded and stay in? Dumbass organization trying to justify their awful signing.3 points

Haha, like JR is going to let Abreu NOT be on this roster for another 2-3 years. All Abreu has to do, is show any semblance of desire to play baseball.3 points

Everyone has known for at least a decade. It's not new information. No inappropriate behavior at least that's known.3 points

2 GB....with a win tonight and Twins loss we are 1 GB and even in L column. Enjoy it while it lasts, twinkies!3 points

Intriguing pitching matchups....yeah that's one way to put it Jason2 points

This is unacceptable! Time for a new manager and a new GM. They failed miserably.2 points

This is who Joe Kelly is; least surprising thing to me. He loses command of the strike zone and isn't a high leverage reliever; hasn't been for most of his career. Giving him that contract was crazy town. Also, Tony La Russa is something else. If the Sox score 2 runs in the 8th/9th, look no further than La Russa for giving this game away. Leaves Kelly in for no reason. Then brings in a lefty for Stanton and Donaldson. It's honestly amazing how incompetent La russa is.2 points

Why in the name of God do you warm up a lefty, not bring him in for Rizzo, then bring him in against Stanton????2 points

Is it just me, or did that ball Rizzo hit for a triple look like it should have been fielded by a better first baseman?2 points

I waver right now between the anger and bargaining stage as I'm realizing they aren't good enough and probably will never be.2 points

You live and die with the over-aggressiveness that TA has at the plate. It works when no one is on base, and he can swing freely. But not so much, in that situation.2 points

minor pet peeve of mine, but I absolutely hate when people say “the MLB“2 points

So funny story. I'm sitting at the LF bleachers and there's like 20 people harrasing Joey Gallo. Why? Because when he was with the Texas Rangers at the time at a New Years party, he ordered bottle service, wound up leaving with a girl and did not pay the tab. These guys personally bought tickets for this game tonight in LF. It's the most funny shit I've ever heard at a ballgame.2 points

That doesn’t count. He had bad games against the Red Sox, Yankees and Astros once. He is doomed.2 points

The defensive positioning in LF has been awful all season. It’s as bad as the infield positioning was last year.2 points

He seems fine. Works entirely out of the stretch. Fastball varied from 92 to 96. Sat primarily around 94. He isn't pinpoint command, but he seems to find the strike zone. The bulk of his swinging strikes tonight were on the change-up which I thought interesting. I thought that was supposed to be his weakest offering. Probably the best starting pitching option in Charlotte aside from Cueto I guess. Though that's not saying much.2 points

Probably an inside the park HR if a White Sox RF was out there2 points

That looked just like real major league shit. So much for the Leury haters.2 points

just dumb strategy time and time again. 3-1 you dont feed stanton a fastball.. you take a risk with donaldson so tired of the dumb fucking baseball.2 points

"Clay Davis' favorite player Gavin Sheets" I know a lot of people on here don't care for Benetti, but I think he's great2 points

My dad taught me how to keep score at my first game when I was 4. Still have the scorecard. Thome homered against the Marlins.2 points

I don't doubt his potential. I doubt his ability to realize that talent. Injuries and start-stop continuity i.e. never getting into and sustaining a groove aside, he might need to connect with the right hitting coach or even the right (different) team to get going. Would he be a different hitter with the Astros? The Braves?2 points

Hahaha, I also remember being at the MJ first pitch/retirement game and driving home laying down in the back seat of our red Ford Escort station wagon when the news came on the radio and I began silently balling my eyes out in the hopes my Dad didn’t hear me crying over it. Found the tix.2 points

That is so cool. My memory of a game with my dad was afterwards throwing up from being carsick and locking myself accidentally in a gas station bathroom 😂2 points

Have a few distinct memories from that day, we sat near the Yankees bullpen and my Dad was yelling down at their pitching coach (Billy Connors) by first name trying to acquire a ball for me, my brain couldn't comprehend that my Dad just knew his name so I thought they knew each other and couldn't understand why Billy was ignoring him. The other is my Dad explaining to me that what we just saw was likely never going to happen again. Think I actually still have the ticket stub somewhere around here.2 points

Unless the Sox are looking for a chemist to fix their hitting woes, Cano is not a solution. They could use a 2B. It isn't even clear if Cano can still play there. They need to aim a bit higher.2 points

Will be at the game tonight, sec 139. If you see a dude in a black shirt with jellyfish on it come say hi. LFG!2 points
