One of the things that may get overlooked with all the homeruns tonight is how the bullpen is really coming together. Heuer picks up his first career win! Congrats Cody.3 points

Yeah. And this whole time Jerry could have hired you. Wtf was he thinking?3 points

I think the Mendick love is based on him going up to the plate with an approach. Look away, hit it that way. Try not to swing at pitches outside the zone. Nice and simple. Normally that wouldn’t be that big a deal, but so far in the 2020 season he is the only Sox hitter that owns a consistent approach.3 points

Yeah, and Foster looks amazing. I almost wish they'd try to stretch Foster out and convert him. He has three MLB quality pitches.2 points

They've got a chance to be Beltre/Andrus level great playing next to each other trolling each other for a decade.2 points

God damnit runner on second no outs I think "finally they can score without a home run"2 points

It makes me proud seeing Burdi regain his velocity again. He may not hit 100-102 like he use to but compared to where he was for the last two years hitting 93-94 to now back at 98-99 consistently... it is awesome to see.2 points

JR would have been better off hiring me. I could not have possibly done any worse than Hahn and i would have taken less money to be the GM than what he gave Hahn. The other GMs in MLB have to be envious of Hahn. Hahn has been the GM 7 years and has not had one winning season and he keeps his job. He would of been gone by now with every other MLB team.2 points

It's absolutely insane that McCann isn't in the lineup. He is sporting a 1.010 OPS currently, and a 1.443 OPS against lefties. Yes, small sample size, but he still needs to play against a lefty.2 points

Good for Engel for speaking up. With that said, the Sox have to start being more careful during games. No reason everyone in the dugout isn’t wearing masks, and even for those that are, they need to wear them properly.2 points

As much as i shill for Yermin, you gotta give Collins a chance first. This team desperately needs another lefty bat. Having a high OBP, lefty bat at 1B/DH/C would be great. I'm not convinced Yermin can even be a backup catcher. The guy is a DH/1B.2 points

Not to mention, league average OPS in the Southern League was .683. You obviously want a real prospect to be well above that, but given that he profiles as a defense-first guy with some on-base skills, he's at least worth a look2 points

I'm thinking about starting a new topic - Yermin v. Moncada -- not much of a difference if you ask me. Sometimes when I'm at Sox games I'll hear people talk a few rows back about topics like this and I go ... where do these people come from? the answer I guess is SoxTalk.com2 points

Mendick is a fine backup but madrigal makes more contact, runs better and is a better defender.2 points

i dont like the drama thats surrounding this team this year. Keuchel and Abreu and now Stone's comments. I wonder if theres more going on in that clubhouse that we dont know about...2 points

This thread could be about the fact that the Sox created a serviceable player out of a 20th round pick, and how much he has saved the team this season with all of the infield injuries. But I am sure we need to crap on a guy with 17 MLB ABs after flying through the minors.2 points

Those two have played a part in 5 goals. Nylander has played a part in nothing. Point wasn't to necessarily crap all over just Nylander, it was to crap all over him for being absolutely terrible and Colliton for not only continuing to trot him out there over and over despite the aforementioned pathetic play but doing it at a pace that through 2 periods his TOI was greater than Toews, etc1 point

I was fully in the give him a chance with a decent team train. He has one. It has holes. We have injuries. I get that. But he makes stupid line-ups and does not use the BP well. Those 2 things are not related to injuries or its holes. It's him. I am now on board that he needs to go. Its not a Sox thing to fire a manager but it would be refreshing so bring in Jirschele. I want to see what a progressive manager can do.1 point

Steve Stone is 73. He is one of the best at what he does. The guy will call a night game then call into Milly and Haugh on 670 for an interview, then talk on every other show throughout the day. The guy clearly loves what he does. He's not going to manage or be in a front office.1 point

As much as I crap on the White Sox, I can’t see them letting these “window years” waste with Renteria. Ozzie and even GARFEIN have been blunt with questioning Ricky. Now this from stone. The Sox are not an organization that allows those types of comments or criticisms unless there may be a change soon. Also, fans are clamoring for it. All over Twitter. Anything Sox related it’s Fire Ricky.1 point

I'm impressed you can determine this after 83 at bats for Mendick and 17 at bats for Madrigal.1 point

This reminds me of when he ended his broadcast career with the Cubs, although he was way more direct back then than he's being right now.1 point

Quote obvious he, like most of us, can Easily tell RR is not very good at his job.1 point

Stone had the choice to 1) not answer or 2) give a cookie cutter answer how he is doing a great job with the young guys. Yet he chose to tweet that. Curious.1 point

Today is about as embarrassing as it gets......this team has no fire at all. Ricky is not the guy to take this team to next level. His oh well attitude is a huge part of the problem.1 point
