I’m so angry after tonight. I think I hit a breaking point. Placing this promising team - these incredible prospects - into the befuddled hands of Head boofalagus Tony La Russa might be the most tragic White Sox event of my lifetime. I feel like I am living in the middle of a five year nightmare I can’t escape. I’m not stupid enough to say I’ll quit this team because I won’t, I love the White Sox and baseball too much to let these clowns take away what’s precious to me. However, it must be said - the culture of this organization is toxic, and I won’t stop talking about it with everyone I talk to who gives a damn about real Chicago sports until it changes. This is unacceptable. We are the laughingstock of knowledgeable baseball people, and not one team used more resources to get less this year. This isn’t working and it is time for a major shakeup, and we need to keep being vocal. One thing about Sox fans that sets us apart is that we don’t accept shit like this and we make noise about it. The only way this changes is if we keep talking about it everywhere we possibly can.

Eloy could stand, and walked off under his own power. Dude is a pussy. Hahn should be fired for guaranteeing Eloy, Robert and Moncada. I know 2 of the 3 had banked good money already but looking back I really think the complacency has to have played a role in their demise. I will fully acknowledge that La Russa is an abomination of a manger and has probably cost us a good 10 games this year. That being said, the bigger threat to the long-term success of this organization is clearly Rick Hahn. Here is a GM who is bad at scouting and doesn’t have the analytical muscle in his front office that the other Ivy League GMs have. What does he bring to the table? Locking up our young talent? Even that well has dried up as of late. Every year it becomes more & more clear just how incapable this guy is at building a serious World Series contender. To have a $190M payroll in the AL Central and not be railroading the division is an absolute joke. I’m still in utter disbelief that this dude failed to address any of our major needs this off-season with impact talent and still spent what he did. Giving Leury 3/$15M should get Hahn blacklisted from baseball. And then to do nothing at the deadline? He actually fucks around thinking he can somehow get Ohtani and instead lets affordable LH bats like Naquin & Gallo go elsewhere. And it’s not like Rick doesn’t get our issues. The dude actually had the nerve to say “ball goes far, team goes far” but does absolutely nothing to address the lack of power. Keep the hitting coach who not only said “fuck the HR” but who has an insane track record of groundball heavy offenses. I don’t give a fuck that Hahn has somehow built a farm system incapable of landing us a rental OF who can hit HRs, but at a very minimum bring in a different hitting coach or change out some players within the organization. There is no excuse for sticking with the same old bullshit and hoping for a different result. At the end of the day, we can change managers and change hitting coaches, but we will have to get super lucky to ever win a Word Series with Hahn as GM. Jerry needs to wake the fuck up and go get a successful small market GM and make him the President of Babeball Ops. That is our only hope for baseball salvation on the south side of Chicago.

Last night was unbelievable with 17Ks and no walks, as a KC pitcher said last week, the Sox are easiest team in MLB to get out because they will swing at anything and refuse to work the count, that comes down to pure laziness. I've been a fan for 70 years and have also just about reached the breaking point. There will have to be a major re-evaluation of the roster this coming off-season, they are paying millions and millions of dollars on guys like Eloy, Moncada and Robert who spend just about more time on the IL than they do on the field. The trouble if the FO decides to trade these guys is what teams would take a chance on such fragile players. The FO may be stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Just about every post-game press conference, Tony doesn't appear to be all there. This is just moments after the game ends, so it's not like he can possibly be totally aware in the dugout. What a mess.

this is why I laugh when people talk about possible trade acquisitions that the Sox could make to get the team over the hump, no trades will do that barring the A+ tier class guys who are good because they have innate talent how many players (specifically position players) have to come here and then have career low performances before people start to realize that it's the way the Sox do things (prep, research/tech, scouting reports, training, etc) that causes guys to just fall flat on their face some guys are gonna be good regardless like Abreu and NewTimmy but you also have to get the most out of your 750ish OPS guys and this team clearly doesn't know wtf they're doing with the B tier/2nd Class players

I won’t be attending another game until Tony is gone, hell I’ve barely watched a full game this year due to the utter disgust of the product on the field and the seemingly lack of care from the organization as a whole.

I've been a baseball fan for a long time. That said, I usually stick to Sox games, great matchups, follow the standings, and play FBB. So while I know the game pretty damn well, there's (obviously) a ton I am clueless about. One thing that has bothered me most about this season has been the inaction. Manager, coaches, FO, training staff, scouting dept....as far as I know, there's been zero accountability in this organization for what has been an abysmal performance. It goes beyond accountability, too, imo. Sometimes even if you think a guy might be a good fit for a job, you have to try something different sometimes.....find a spark to get things rolling in a different direction. I can't think of another MLB team in memory which had such high expectations, floundered spectacularly, and NOT ONE EFFORT WAS MADE TO TRY SOMETHING...ANYTHING....to turn the tides. I truly think we're watching history being made. Countless teams have underperformed, and countless teams have made changes in-season to try to salvage a season. Not the Sox. WS: "Yeah, we're really frustrated by the way this season has gone" Press: "Has there been any thoughts of making changes in the coaching staff?" WS: "Why would we do that? We're happy with our staff." Press: "What about the training staff?" WS: "Nope..doing a great job. Just bad luck." Press: "What about underperforming players? If ever a team needed a managerial change, it was our 2022 White Sox, probably too late now to make a difference but this moron we have now should have never been hired in the first place. Another bad decision by JR in a 41 year span of many many bad decisions.

I can't stand Tony but I don't know why that was a huge deal. In the slim chance the pitchers spot were to come up, he still had Romy to hit. Now, you can question why he would burn Sheets to lead off an inning, at the expense of Seby who probably had just as much of a chance to get a hit. Also with the 1-2 intentional walk, if this guy is such a HOF quality hitter, why was Diekman facing him in the first place? Lambert the righty was ready.

Their sales staff is going to have to wake up, for sure. I have a partial plan that right now I would say I will not renew. You can do a lot better buying on Stubhub and they do nothing anymore for their season ticketholdrrs. Used to have parties, send you gifts, invite you to talks, would have a staff member actually contact you. Now nothing. Get a canned once a month season ticketholder newsletter trying to get you to buy more, and the only attempt at a perk was an invitation to White Sox BP to a game not in my 20 gane plan where I would have to buy more tickets. They claimed if you couldn't attend, there would be more opportunities. That was a couple of months ago. Haven't had more opportunities. They were counting on this team being all they needed, and are going to get burned.

They're in a tough spot now, which is self inflicted of course. As has been discussed, raises already in current contracts will take Keuchel's money. And they still have bums like Grandal and Kelly that need to be paid for another season. And there's holes or 'square pegs in round holes' everywhere you look on this team. The problem for the Sox is - good luck with ticket sales without something to excite Sox fans this winter. Who would want to invest a lot of money in this garbage product? They've actually made it less entertaining than the teams 3-4 years ago when they were trying to lose on purpose.

Absolutely. This team is nowhere without those two. Honestly, where do we think the hype of this team emanated from the beginning? Sure, Anderson, Yoan, Cease, and Vaughn help but it was these two who were the studs. This is still a young, talented nucleus to play around Jose. They just need to get stronger and get through what has been a painful year. The front office also has to do a better job building around it. Lynn and Hendricks are fine. The rest just really hasn’t panned out. and I don’t want to pile on the TLR hate that is so present here after every loss but this is the wrong team for him. This team needs energy and someone who can take the pressure off a young nucleus.

Anyone with a brain knew Hahn’s offseason was a disaster. It’s not like he made amazing acquisitions that just didn’t work out. Nearly all the moves he made, made no sense, given the roster and what their weaknesses were. That’s why so many of us are pissed. It’s not like he acquired Juan Soto, only for him to have a bad year.

Hahn also thought that a fair offer for Machado was $175 million over 8 years.

Throw all of the horrible managerial decisions aside. How do the front office personnel listen to that and not think "Ya know, maybe this guy isn't the right guy for the position?" They are too stubborn and full of ego that they won't do it. Or they're just dense.

We needed a SP and he told Rodon to hit the road, and then picked Vince Velasquez. It was only when Lynn was hurt did he get Cueto. He picked up Kimbrel's contract and announced to the world he wanted to trade him (good way to get trade leverage) . He then signs Joe Kelly for a mutli-year contract at about twice what he's worth. He then jettisoned Kimbrel for yet another aging player who the Sox are going to be on the hook for next year for over $10 million. He signed Leury to a 3 year deal at 2x his market value. He spent over $30 million making the team worse. Meanwhile his farm system checked in at #30.

So....who was the one that picked up the option for Kimbrel? I don't know how ANYONE, includes relatives in the Hahn family, can carry water for anyone in this front office right now.
