No one cares enough. This franchise is dead until they have a new owner8 points

This team / organization makes it very very difficult to be a fan of this team anymore. If I hadn’t invested over 30 years in fandom and I was a younger kid I would not watch this s%*# show organization7 points
-
Just f*** this entire organization. I would really like to enjoy this team. Robert should be likable as should a few other guys, but the organization stink sticks to all of them. I get home during the evening often looking forward to watching the Sox. One inning later I’m watching “Air Disasters.” JFC7 points

Just stopping in to say Grifol might be the worst manager I’ve ever seen4 points

Now Moncada doesn’t want to provide for his family. Lol.4 points

Jesse will retire from baseball and become a long time Doctor in a small Minnesota town....later in life he'll say that he remembers that 1 pitch he threw but he wishes "it would have been nice to get just 1 out for the White Sox"4 points

Looks can be deceiving but nobody on this team looks happy to be playing. And the lack of chemistry also looks apparent. Who is the leader of this team? If it's TA, we are screwed. Gio or Lance? Both look like garbage. If the players aren't happy to be paid millions to play a game then why should I care?3 points

JR sucks but the level of spending isn't what's killing this franchise. its how they spend their money. they are inept, they don't invest in quality coaching, technology, scouting, nor do they sign the right free agents (check out the latest Southside Sox article on Rick Hahn in the other thread) TB spends a fraction of what the Sox do. It's not that JR doesn't spend, it's that he's letting unqualified ivy leaguers use his debit card.3 points

JR is the biggest problem with the Sox, until he is dirt surfing, same old same old unfortunately.3 points

Diekman in a 3 run game coming off an off day is just beyond dumb.3 points

No one said that, talk about making an assumption. LOL............................. Burger has overcome two serious injuries, career enders in some cases given what's happened to guys in the NBA who had it. And he and his wife just had a kid if I remember right. Moncada fouls a ball off his leg, acts like it needs to be amputated and then can't play for three days. Give me a break. Again if I remember right to Sox will owe this stiff 18 million next year. I've been around athletes for over 40 years in the business at both the pro and college level, I think I have a good idea of someone who gives a damn. Moncada does not.3 points

Let's string together a few wins before Caulfield starts another thread3 points

I need to remember to avoid any thread with Moncada in the title. Dear God some of these takes.3 points

Burger is an issue defensively no question. But unlike Moncada I get the sense Burger at least wants to play and to try to provide for his family. To me that's a big deal even though Moncada has far more talent. But what good is it when the guy is supposedly always hurt?3 points

Great to see Sosa playing back to back. Last year we'd have seen Hanser again.3 points
-
He'll milk it and be out a month. Sox may be able to trade him if they pay a large part of his salary next year but that's still going to be difficult to do. I didn't care for the WBC when it was first announced and I care even less for it now. Grifol has already publicly stated he thinks Moncada's back issues were caused by the halfway round the world flights from Arizona to Taiwan, from Taiwan to Miami and then from Miami back to Arizona. But hey it's more important to play for a country in a meaningless made for TV tournament than playing for the team that's paying you millions of dollars. And once again the Sox play shorthanded for a week, "hoping" his back got better. Nothing changes.3 points

I kind of wanted this guy last off-season. Not a bad flier to take.3 points

Well I don't know about you, but when I watch this team im definitely worried because they cant stay healthy and they aren't playing well. Already 4 games back, they are being put in a position where they will have to play unachievable baseball to catch up depending on how bad it gets this early. Just spent all of last season saying "Its early, were only a few games back" and that lasted all year until they faded away to end the season.3 points

Are you talking about the completely joyless Andrew Vaughn? C'mon! I love watching an overhyped hitter who consistently has an OPS under .800 while playing a horseshit first base and looking like he's miserable playing baseball.2 points

Overcharge him with 2nd degree murder....maybe he will plead down to selling the team2 points

JR was happy he got lots of free media attention and yet didn't have to spend any money other than marketing clip art presentation Jon Jay and Yonder Alonso.2 points

Winning is not having to pay someone 300 million dollars2 points

He'd rather lose with Hahn + KW than win with someone new. It honestly doesn't matter.2 points

What a terrible waste of the "window" by letting assbag Hahn make the decisions, and sink the ship with a bad managerial hire at the most important time of the window.2 points
-
The fact we're in mid April and I think it's probably better for the team to just lose at this point ?2 points
-
Not like Hahn has to worry about job security, he ain't going anywhere, regardless.2 points

Does Elvis absorb Tim's skills when he's on the IL or something?2 points

It doesn’t matter, this team is just bad. Think of trade deadline value more than anything else.2 points

They need to role with Burger at third and hope something clicks defensively.2 points

Enough of this crap, Hahn has to go. I agree on the WBC, bad idea when the guys should be in ST getting in baseball shape and working on fundamentals.2 points

I will say, this lineup is about as good as it could be, given the current roster. So we have that going for us....2 points

Yeah, if we didn't do this whole damn thing already all of last season, I think fans might be willing to give it a little more time. But I think a lot of fans are just drained from last season that it's hard to do the "wait till they get healthy/hot" thing again. Especially when they're experiencing a lot of the same issues they did last year.2 points

Which is more concerning. You get the velo back but it normally takes a little time. What you do lose is command. Crochet's command was shaky before the surgery. When he comes back, it probably will not be even what it was for a while. Expecting much from him this season is not what true contenders do. It is what fake contenders do.2 points

“I don’t like that term early. It’s not early,” Grifol said. “It’s a game. It’s a Major League Baseball game that we’ve got to win, whether it’s April 1 or freaking September-something.” Yes, this. Too much "Oh its only 13 games relax" floating around here when the reality is were sinking into a hole that is going to require excellent baseball to get out of.2 points

Good, then he'll have no regrets. Your Chicago White Sox...miss a little, miss a lot.2 points

It does when the owner is committed to not selling while he is alive. It’s not speculation at all. It is a plain fact nothing that will change until it happens2 points
