Is 20 games under .500, with 2 months to go, considered 'good' for a team in it's "contention window"? Asking for what should be an unemployed GM in the MLBs.5 points

Frank Thomas keeps talking about how this is a bunch of superstars that just are not clicking. Bullshit. I love you Frank, but that is bullshit.4 points

Everything sucks with this organization. We all know the only hope is a new owner. This owner with his cronies in charge have destroyed the franchise.4 points

The fact Conforto is going to out homer Benintendi at GRF this year is hilarious4 points

Pedro gave his little speech told us how he was getting the team ready to beat the Cubs, Hey, they have a hit. Fire somebody. Tonight.4 points

A favorite of the Rick hahn era is his love for ground ball relievers and also love for horrible defensive infields.4 points

man, i kinda forgot how ridiculous it was that our trade deadline last year netted us just diekman lol. And all the huffing and puffing from Hahn. I love how they are probably this season sitting back like "Well we put it on the players to prove themselves and they didn't!" just acting completely removed from the failure.4 points

Total, complete, unadulterated garbage tonight...all aspects, all areas. The team/organization has no heart, no guts and no brains.3 points

Terrible now? He's always been a s%*# defensive catcher. He's always been overrated because of his "pitch framing" nonsense. I've disliked him since the day he was signed.3 points

If you saw at the beginning of last year this was our starting lineup in July of 2023, we all would have been pumped thinking it would be close to a 100 win team3 points

That's an interesting question he's got to know in his heart of hearts that he has failed as a G.M. The question is will he ever admit it to the media/fan base?3 points

I will add that the funniest outcome is Vaughn and Burger defeating the Cubs with defense.3 points

lol Vaughn and Burger on the right side of the infield??? Whatever, season is over anyway.3 points

Today is the deadline for signing draftees and the Sox signed everyone! That is a start. By my rough count the Sox went over their pool by about 446k which is just below the 5% line penalty. Jerry et al pay a 75% tax on that. If you go over the 5%, you lose a first rounder. So since I give them crap for a lot of things, I suppose it is only fair to give them credit for spending. Time will tell if it was well spent. I did note only one 10k signing. Everyone else in rounds 11-20 were at least the 150k "max" without counting against your pool. A lot less punted picks which should give better depth and the chance for a wild card. Sorry Harold, I had done my cyphering before seeing your post.3 points

Just watched it on You Tube. Wow...he and McGuffey bury Grifol. Just absolutely skewer him. He acts like "his s%*# don't stink..." - Garfien. Talks about his arrogance (which is par for the course for this franchise/front office isn't it?????) Worth watching/listening to. I've always considered Garfien a house-man but I've got to give him some credit...he is really pissed off and laying into this franchise now. Guess he isn't worried about his job anymore for some reason.2 points

I think people will watch the game just to see Burger at second. This could be their final 2 months marketing strategy: come see the defensive freak show. Bright spot, we'll finally see TA at catcher.2 points

I don't pay attention to most of your posts. Your relentless criticism and total negativity towards the White Sox doesn't interest me. Still, do you think the bullpen would have been better if Hendriks had been on the team? Losing a All Star bullpen pitcher like Hendriks has really hurt the team.2 points

I believe there is a segment of the front office who believes that we can just sprinkle a few randoms around the diamond and maybe magic will happen and we can contend due to being in a weak division. The old gambler Kenny program. The old all you need to do is get in and just anything can happen.2 points

Moncada returns for tonight. I think this is risky. Should have waited a week. I fear he and Eloy are going to get hurt hugging departing teammates.2 points

Some marketing agency put the cost of trading him at $15-20 million in lost revenue...approaching $25 if he closes in on the home run record and Cy Young simultaneously.2 points

I do agree with you, the best solution is to trade Trout right now to shed serious money to afford Ohtani. Let's not forget Mike Trout is 31 years old and will be 32 in two weeks. His numbers are declining and his injures are increasing.2 points

This puts the White Sox at $9,517,800. Just under the 5% overage total. Smart strategy.2 points

The deck is pretty stacked against them down the stretch, but by all means let them be deluded enough to not sell those pieces this weekend. Whatever benefits the Sox return in the market.2 points

Especially starting out in THIS division with Sale Q Eaton Rodon (result of 2013 disaster season) and the group sent to the Yankees to kick things off as the rebuild started officially. Let's also not forget already having a stud in Abreu and future near star in Tim Anderson! Ofc, we dubious ended up the competing/retooling middle third of the 2010s by accidentally trading away Tatis after previously giving up on Semien and Bassitt before they even had an opportunity to establish themselves. Great job, Hahn! At least you failed to double down with an extension for Shark...?2 points

All I have to say is who hired Grifol? And who always treats the manager's job as if it is not important and constantly hires inexperienced people?2 points

I’m not buying that KW is taking the lead here. If he was, he’d be talking to a lot of teams and it would leak IMO. Besides, Hahn has been hiding behind decisions being collective. They all have to go. Trade the free agents to be. Leave the others to someone who may be competent. it just amazes me no one has lost their job yet. It’s beyond crazy.2 points

As much as I hate losing to the Cubs, the very last thing I want to see is those clowns sneaking into a wild card post season spot, it may be best for the Sox to really bottom-out, just lose...lose...and lose. Lose 100 games if possible. That may be the only thing that forces JR to change and even then I won't guarantee that it would...but you've got to try.2 points
