The fact that the Sox have to go 9-5 to close the year out means it’s done, to me. Not one time this year have they approached that kind of “winning”

Thanks, he said his knee was fine for a week and even after the MRI confirmed his situation and he still wanted to play on it. He’s had knee sprains in the past but never a serious injury like this. No broken bones or tears until now, in years of playing Pop Warner and Bill George Youth football and his third year of high school football. We made him get the surgery so he can be healthy for his senior year.

Sorry about your son's injury. My friend's son in Kansas is a lineman who had surgery and he's not quite ready to play after a full year. ... As far as Rice, these injuries do suggest this might be in for a rare horrific year in terms of record. If Carmel or Loyola truly rout us in the 45-0 range, the kids might not be able to recover from that. With this schedule, even a healthy team couldn't expect to go better than one over .500. Sorry again your son got hurt.

This was more of a "Hey Sox fans, I'm still alive. Prepare for more absolute suckage."

Everything I have heard is that there will be a change on the international front. Seems the same in terms of the hitting approach - hopefully Getz can hire some good people and can do what it takes to get funds earmarked to be invested in these areas (I'm personally fine if it comes at the cost of the major league payroll - long term success will come from hiring good people and investing an infastructure all along the development curve.
