  1. Unfortunately the season started on March 30.

  2. I want Moncada to succeed for lots of reasons, but especially so this image is used more often.

  3. Moncada looks absolutely toast up there, he has nothing on his swing

  4. Did he? The guys he sat are guys folks here have been begging to get fewer ABs: TA, Benny, and AV. The catchers obviously split the DH. Everyone else is playing both, including all 4 guys who hit homers a couple hours ago. Not every loss or underperformance is on the manager.

  5. Burger 2 run shot, Moncada And Robert solo shots and Eloy with the go ahead 2 run bomb for the deciding run ! Kelly, Lopez and Graveman 3 scoreless innings.

  9. From the day they got him his stuff has proven that without pin point control he was average at best.

  10. Sure would be nice to have Dane Dunning and his 2.52 ERA, 1.10 ratio and 5-1 record. And he doesn't weigh 300lbs. You have to either put him in the bullpen or DFA him. You are 3.5 games out and he is killing you. Or go to a 4 man rotation. Or trade for any pitcher who isn't a fat out of shape scrub

  17. Sox have a .668 team OPS over the last 30 days. Continuing to rely on strong starting pitching, a nearly-perfect bullpen and a couple hot hitters is not sustainable. If multiple hitters don't start reverting to their career averages, the winning won't continue.

  18. LoL. My school has had between 15-20 students for Oxford/Cambridge accepted for each of the last two years, and roughly twenty for the Top 20 US universities, as ranked by US News & World Report. The average IB score is between 38 and 39. But thanks for condemning every single person who works outside the US, lol. You do realize that not EVERYONE is a "digit nomad" working in Thailand, Indonesia/Bali or the Philippines, right? Try to come up with a more inventive attack at least. And stay off Yahoo News and those ChatGPT-generated articles about traveling or living abroad. I mean, it would be really, absolutely terrible if the White Sox had a nearly Gold Glove caliber RF (OAA 95th percentile, jumps 98 percentile, arm strength 99th percentile) on pace for 37 homers despite missing the first 20 games of the season at a salary of only $7 million, lol...

  19. Truly pathetic what him and Timmy are doing

  20. Burger at 1B seems like a good idea, but that would involve the front office admitting it was a mistake to draft Vaughn.

  28. And to further disagree with your thought here, Tim Anderson was never the top prospect in the game nor expected to be the cornerstone star for this franchise. Nor did he sign a 5 year $70 million contract, one of the highest paid players on this team. This is why Moncada is a punching bag to some of us fans.

  29. For those who care about milestones, that HR was career #50 and season #14 (his high) for Robert.

  30. I mean that wasn't even close to a strike

  31. Colas RF Eloy traded for pitching Sheets gone to lose the temptation is the only viable long term solution.

  33. I am fatigued reading about Moncada. He was grossly overpaid up front and due to the effects of human nature he lacks motivation and desire --- at least that is my interpretation of his rather casual performance on the field. As most of us posting here, I do not know Moncada on a personal level and my reading of his personality might be unfair and inaccurate. But, what I see on the ball field is a rather mediocre player who has had only a single season (2019) of impressive statistics. My preference would be to package him in a trade with possibly Vaughn or Roberts in return for multiple AAA level pitching prospects. Burger goes to third base on a daily basis, Sheets plays first if Vaugn is traded, and Colas plays centerfield if Roberts is traded.

  37. There's this thing called wind. It blows air around in various directions and with various velocities. Recently, it's been blowing in a southerly fashion and sending all that smoke down to NYC.

  38. I'm completely over anyone on the MLB roster improving. They are what they are at this point. Moncada got so lucky with the bouncy ball in 2019, as it propelled him to over $100M in career earnings. Even if he's out of baseball in a few years, he's set for life.
