Like my good friend, a cub fan told me earlier given the state of affairs here, we have 2 choices, contract the Sox or move them to another city that might appreciate a MLB team

He may have a point

Contract the team? Unlikely, they aren’t the Expos. Moving the team when JR passes. More likely.

It doesn't matter what RH says about anything. He is as big a part of the problem as anyone or anything. Same can be said about KW and JR. Until they are all gone nothing with the Sox will change. The friggen culture can't change until all the current leadership is gone.

I don't blame KW or even JR for the culture I blame coaching, RH, and our loser clubhouse of players.

They are the ones making the day to day decisions the blame ultimately falls on them

Lol. Come on.

Come on RW and JR have nothing to do with the clubhouse. I doubt they have even talked to a majority of the players on the roster.

You can criticize them for the decision to hire hahn and Grifol but the day to day decision making is on Hahn and Grifol. Also of course the players.

How can you not blame the OWNER? It's not like he hasn't had enough time to judge the result of his Hahn hire.

i'm sorry guys. I'm gonna wait a bit on this one because I think Shane Riordan is a moron. He's probably going to be wrong in one aspect that makes the fact that he's wrong worse.

Calling him a moron is probably one of the nicer adjectives that you can use to describe him. Also, he doesn’t have any sources. Just because he works for the score doesn’t mean he has any idea what happens in that organization. I can promise you from experience that just because you work in radio it doesn’t not translate to being in the know about anything. You’re more likely to hear personal opinions or inner workings talk then you are about clubhouse or players.

Also, I will add that while everyone likes to say how horrible the organization is from an on field perspective, which is totally fine to do, there are some great people who work there and they do treat people incredibly well.

On Opening Day our team was supposed to win the division.  So Hahn was OK then and we were all OK with him.   When was Jerry supposed to whack him?  At the time of the 10 game losing streak? According to the bloodthirsty element around here that would have been fine. How many teams whack a GM midseason?  If he isn't gone after game 162, then you guys have a case.

My advice to those with an itchy trigger finger: Don't take a management job anywhere near where I work.

Clearly porn is the issue.  Ban that s%*# and suddenly everyone will be laser focused on the day at hand and pulling for one another.

Better than just pulling on yourself.

The real question is has he been allowed to do what he wants with the team and rules.

Like every other aspect we discussed here, no one makes the decisions in isolation.

Seriously, how can you even ask that? Of course Grifol has been allowed to run the team as he wants and make his own rules. GM's especially clueless ones like Hahn, are not going to tell their manager how to build his team chemistry and culture. That is on the manager. It's always been that way in baseball and it will never change. This crap doesn't happen on teams with good managers that build a winning culture and chemistry with their team. Please tell me another team in baseball where the GM tells the manager what the rules will be in the dugout and clubhouse.

You saw that video last week of players standing in the outfield just talking and not doing their stretching. Btw, Grifol does have several coaches to assist him. Where are they in all this toxic clubhouse cancer?

I'm sorry but there is no making excuses for Grifol relative to the way the team plays on the field in terms of hustle, passion and team culture. As far as the roster being bad, yes that's on loser Hahn.

This coming from Shane Riordan makes it suspect and I’m skeptical that this happened or happened as described. It is totally believable though and that fact doesn’t make them look any better. I do hope the leaks keep trickling out until the dam busts. The whole org needs a cleansing fire.

Yeah with Dan Snyder finally gone out I'm struggling to think of one.

And with Rocky dead, it's a clear no brainer. Think they should just transfer the organization to Northwestern and give us a new name, owner, ballclub and laundry to cheer for.

He was not OK then or now.

Hahn should have been whacked after 2015, certainly in 2016 when he could not handle a 13 year old in a clubhouse and had to run to Kenny to take charge.

I disagree. In the clubhouses I've been in the GMs ways had a spy (Boston) and they knew exactly what was happening. In today's game the GMs have even more influence.
