First gamethread of the year without fathom making a single post and the Sox score 8 runs and no hit the opposition. ? Mods - I think you know what needs to be done!13 points

Just amazing how many times in our lives we've got to see these guys throw a no hitter/perfect game for this team. Makes you reflect a bit at how special that is.7 points

Biggest concerns of the off-season: DH, RF, and 5th starter. Stories of the season so far: our DH, RF, and 5th starter.6 points

Happy for Zack. Guy is better than people give him credit for and clearly has worked his ass off at it.6 points

Nick giving a big middle finger to SoxTalk so far tonight. Hope he keeps it up, rootin for the kid.6 points

That lineup was designed to lose against one of our biggest rivals. How in the actual bloody fucking hell can you justify to the paying fans a lineup that does NOT include Yermin Mercedes? How can you justify it to Giolito? The fans obviously enjoy Mercedes, yet people showed up today and were treated to Nick Williams and Jake Lamb. What? Why would I even watch that crap, let alone pay money for a ticket and parking and spend my entire night watching that crap... in the 10th inning as well. The White Sox are quickly becoming something I care less about watching, and it didn't take very long. Good thing because I have other things I am happy to spend most of my evenings on. Also, I probably won't ever shutup about this but... thank you Eloy Jimenez for being a dumb fucking ass and taking yourself out of this lineup for the entire year. I know people want to blame management for believing he is a LF, but the guy should know that he should not be trying to rob HRs in Spring Training, or probably ever. Catch the balls and make the plays you can. But nooooooo, he's going to prove that he can be a great defensive player! And whoops, now he's injured for the year and his teammates act like he fucking died. You know why they act that way Eloy? Because they NEED YOUR BAT AND YOU SOLD ON YOUR TEAM. I believe Yoan will figure it out. Heck, I even believe Madrigal will eventually figure it out. But Mendick should, without a doubt, be getting the majority of time at 2B until Madrigal can string together some at bats that don't include weak groundouts. Make the kid work for it, because right now he is getting it easier than Vaughn (why?) and he is playing substantially worse. Where's the Tylenol?6 points

Zack Collins work behind the plate can not go unnoticed. The guy called a remarkable game for Rodon. Couldn't be happier for him.5 points

Maybe one day we will let Grandal catch a no-no too.5 points

A no-hitter is a fucking great consolation prize for a failed perfect game bid, I'll say5 points

The Sox have earned the skepticism from their fanbase. Trust in the front office and scouting is earned. They have not earned our trust. Blind optimism is just as annoying, if not more so, as eternal pessimism.5 points

Danny Mendick is a better baseball player than Nick Madrigal is. Once you're in the Majors, draft position doesn't matter anymore.5 points
-
This lineup should stay this way but I think Mendick becomes the starting 2B for the rest of the year once Anderson is back and Madrigal is sent down once AAA starts.5 points

All credit to Collins as well. Remember in camp how everyone assumed the job was given to Lucroy, and then we were all confused when Lucroy requested his release? Clearly Collins has been busting his ass to improve his work behind the plate and the organization saw it, and it definitely paid off tonight. Got to be a great feeling.4 points

I am probably just high on life but I think this will be meaningful for Collins.4 points

Some real good gloves being flashed in this game also. Funny how baseball works out that way during movie moments.4 points

Just incredible, all the potential we knew was in Rodon was fulfilled in this game, he was fucking perfect.4 points

Yeah, if the Sox win fewer than 81 games this year, then they should trade TA and Gio this winter.4 points

Eloy is not a savior. He is a power hitting DH who is a clown in the field.4 points

I wouldn't trust this ownership with a second chance at doing this. We have to wait for nature to take its course. The fucker is not immortal.4 points

Real question, but why did La Russa come out and say Vaughn has to earn his at-bats while Nick fucking Williams is just being awarded starts despite accomplishing absolute nothing with the Sox?4 points

I mean it’s no different than going to a priest, pastor or rabbi. It’s all made up mumbo jumbo that they pull out of their butt3 points

I'm still have this feeling that the Sox will be looking for a new manager by the 2022 season with LaRussa stepping away. 3 managers in 3 years. For a managerial position that should be the most coveted in baseball right now (bullshit that there wasn't really an interview process for this).3 points

The answer for who they should have hired if they wanted an experienced winner, a non-cheater, and someone who has been in the dugout in the last decade? Bruce Bochy.3 points

No doubt Renteria made bad decisions and needed to be replaced but the team chemistry was very good and they played some good ball. It sure seams like TLR is losing them or already has. Last night's tired TLR postgame has been a std since the season opener. After the longest night game in LA, there was a slightly longer pause between questions and TLR came within an instant of literally falling asleep. His eyes closed for a brief second and his head snapped. Then he got pissed; "what's the question?" when there was none. Even after the day game in Seattle, he was wanting to doze and the questions were clearly irritating him; keeping him awake. There are plenty of 76 yr olds that are astute & vibrant. TLR is not one of them; far from it. If a team is a reflection of their manager, it explains this lethargic start with no end in sight. What a waste of the 5 year rebuild.3 points

If Ricky had started the 10th with Butterfingers Crochet pitching, he'd have been accused of putting players in a position to fail.3 points
