  1. He has a shtick to keep up with. No matter what happens, for guys like @wrathofhahn, once he believes it, NOTHING will change his mind. Logic and facts be damned.
  2. NO ONE, except this guy, has talked about his politics in a year and a half. Once the games started, no one cared about that anymore. There was plenty of other idiotic stuff to keep people PLENTY busy. In fact the only people that still bring up politics are his apologists.
  3. This is an absolute crock of shit. You have zero read on the situation. Zero.
  4. So they mocked a college pitcher, college hitter, HS pitcher and HS hitter. I think it's safe to say they don't have the first damn clue who the Sox are going to take.
  5. Year 4 and Jason's HR calls still suck.
  6. He has a pretty good amount of text bro
  7. lmao "legit awful people like Machado and Harper" aged like already expired milk.
  8. This may have been the case when TLR was originally hired, but at this point, he's done enough stupid shit as manager that I'm judging him only on his decisions in baseball and not elsewhere.
  9. What an absolute tone deaf miss the entire forest for the trees post
  10. Nobody fucking cares about his politics here, this entire thread is about how bad of a manager he has been
  11. I'd like to get traded to San Diego for a Padres fan to be named later.
  12. playing shorthanded for no reason is what the White Sox do
  13. Hopefully the Kopechiest of Kopechs.
  14. Not really. While they’re highly Unlikely to actually sweep the Twins, 2 games over .500 at the ASB is still wildly disappointing compared to what this team should and was expected to do.
  15. And you just don't get it, you keep it Kopech-cetic
  16. All of the other ways TLR is an awful person haven’t really been at the forefront during his second stint here. I despise him but those things aren’t top of mind. He is now near universally despised here because he is an awful baseball manager. Anything else is secondary and is hardly discussed with any regularity.
  17. And that isn't partly down to bad management and coaching? One or two players underachieving could be down to the players but 6 or 7 players underachieving at the same time suggests it is more down to management and coaching, especially when the manager keeps trotting out the same underachieving players, sometimes even as leadoff hitter.
  18. Anyone that wants Tony gone wants him gone for baseball reasons.
  19. I thoroughly enjoyed watching that in person. Back tomorrow!
  20. Would be very Sox to get hot and then have the ASB.
  21. TLR not fucking around, Liam for the 9th.
  22. If you're reading this, Jason: Stop being such a nerd!!
  23. If Benetti is reading our game threads I worry about him
  24. Great job battling. Hendriks for 5?
  25. Sox have the worst manager, coaches and FO in MLB.
  26. The lack of power in this lineup right now is ridiculous.
  27. Bennetti is such a dork. I never want to hear the word "anthropology" on another broadcast. Someone needs to stuff him in a locker.
  28. Lineup is way less dangerous with him in the lineup instead of Robert.
  29. Sheets on the bench for late defensive purposes
  30. Just awful pitches by Kopech. God did they mess up not putting him on the IL.
  31. He looked like one of the best defensive CF's I'd ever seen during the 2020 season. I don't understand how it's possible for his defense to fall off like this.
  32. Just more proof with a full mlb career he’d be a HOF imo
  33. If he's healthy, he should be starting in RF against a LHP.
  34. I don't think the White Sox sweep but if they do, it'd totally be a White Sox move to win 6 in a row before the break, then start 3-7 in the second half.
  35. STOP BEATING HIM HE'S ALREADY DEAD!
  36. To be clear, we don't think that about EVERYONE. We for sure think it about you, just not everyone. That's an unfair shot, and I won't stand for it.
  37. They loved how Montgomery looked at the combine too. I have personally heard from a very, very plugged in person that the preference is pitching. The Tucker Toman smoke is real though. I don’t have an answer as to like, which pitchers they absolutely wouldn’t pass on. Toman or college pitching seems most likely but you have to stay flexible at 26 while remaining cognizant of your plans in rounds 2-20.
  38. “Oh my, that ball was escorted off of the premises! Luis Robert absolutely molly womped that ball, score a run!”
  39. Sox need a large attitude adjustment. They have been playing dead baseball all year.
  40. I’d wager money that the highest ROI thing a front office could do is make trivial investments in their player development system to improve the quality of living and nutrition for its minor leaguers. Pretty dumb not to treat these players like the lifeblood of the organization and care for them appropriately.
  41. Unless you're in the microscopic percentage of the population who is too immunocompromised to receive the vaccine, there is no "reward" for anyone not to get the shot. Anti vax talking points like this being normalized and treated as a personal choice issue rather than a public health one is a huge part of the reason why the virus is yet to be contained.
  42. Given that 10 out of 26 players didn’t get vaccinated, it really doesn’t seem like the “bullying culture” you suggest had any impact. But that works both ways. Given what I posted earlier with the Royals hosting an insanely weird “anti-pornography” seminar for the entire organization, along with Dayton Moore and Mike Matheny going out of there way to tell the world how important their faith is, there seems to be a trend with how the Royals conduct their business and what they believe in. Given that thus far the Royals have far and away the most players on a single team that have to go on the restricted list…it’s not a very far leap to take that the organization has pushed their views on their players.
