There isn’t much good to talk about, Mike. They are literally in the middle of a controversy because their newly signed pitcher has an accusation of domestic violence and Child abuse. They also did only one thing this entire offseason after they were the most mediocre unrealized potential team in the league, they signed that pitcher. so please, let me know when there is some good stuff to talk about. Because the score white Sox talk pretty much mirrors the topics and discussion of Pale Hose Talk right here5 points

Man if wanting to make sure people face penalties for Domestic Violence is "woke" this country is fucked.3 points

Lol. This isn't anything new. Baseball has been full of degenerate alcoholics and drug users since the very beginning.3 points

Which is why I am hardly the fan I used to be.3 points

Clevinger vs 670 The Score.....can they both just go away??3 points

Yeah I feel like league will fail upwards here.3 points

Amazing how all your posts are just a different version of s%*#2 points

LOL, must be nice living in fantasy land. Back in my day, professional athletes were faithful to their wives!2 points

That is hardly anything new. If anything, it might be lesser just because of the massive social media spotlight.2 points

Based on the back and forth of the involved parties here this appears to be nothing more than a white trash custody battle playing out in the public. With mlb not taking any action since opening an investigation back in June it's likely they were gonna drop it and then it was leaked to social media to prevent that. Unless something else major comes out to substantiate, its a waste of time to continue discussing it, imo. And yes the scorecwas highly irresponsible with that interview. If she truly ends up a victim in all of this they've opened her up to litigation with any statements she made that can be picked apart by an attorney. I'm shocked they aired that.2 points

If he's just an arrogant womanizer that really likes to do coke, he's just like most of the rest of the 20 somethings in pro baseball.2 points

I’m honestly fine with whoever as long as they don’t hand the job to Leury.2 points

Whatever happened to the webcasts? Seems like an easy way to “broadcast” w/o interfering with Jason’s other commitments.1 point

When you get old you can have multiple problems that you are on permanent meds for. It's not surprising that he couldn't handle the stress. He could have the start of dementia also.1 point
-
The sad thing is statistically you are probably right, and when 98% of abuse instances go unpunished, you would think that is the actual problem.1 point

Well he definitely won't face criminal charges, so I guess this country is fucked1 point

I don’t know enough about Romy’s abilities in the outfield at this time, but Colas seems way more suited by virtue of what Colas was doing last season.1 point
-
Yeah wtf else is NBC Sports showing in the middle of the day on a weekday.1 point
-
Well, Colas played way more CF than RF last year and got good reviews so idk man.1 point
-
Romy has played 3 games in CF since he was a 19 year old at Miami in 2016. This is such White Sox thinking.1 point

Neither is a regular but they’re both fine out there. I’d rather use either guy out there than Leury Garcia. It’s probably Jake Marisnick though1 point

Is her face in any photos? She likes selfies so there should be hundreds of photos.1 point

The fact that it’s been 18 years since we’ve been the “better team” and have had the “better team” once in over 100 years is embarrassing to me.1 point

I hate that we fans have to discuss this right as the new season kicks off. Our one "big" signing too. FFS.1 point

Hoping people view and like these videos I posted. There's more podcasts on youtube like the CHGO podcasts and Locked on White Sox. As a Sox fan I like seeing Sox related podcasts succeed, the more than merrier. The CHGO Sox podcasts are usually longer and at least 5 minutes worth of product plugs but Vinnie Duber is the resident expert on it so most of the time it's worthwhile. Pinwheels and Ivy as you might ascertain by its name, deals with White Sox and Cubs stuff.1 point

She went on the radio and stated this stuff, is he not allowed to defend himself? She seems smart enough to know how to create news but yet doesn't have proof of it. She has no camera footage of him stoned or a photo of the chew spit on the child? After the interview I felt that she should have more proof of the allegations. There are no text threads like Bauer or much of anything. These are simple things that would substantiate her claim and he seems dumb enough to provide. These were things I felt the interview should have addressed. Clevinger speaking out is dumb but actually following through is different animal.1 point

We call these SLAPP suits. They aren’t designed to actually win, they’re designed so that they make the people who are sued show up in the press, sometimes they have to pay their legal fees if they aren’t included in the costs of the dismissal which is common, but compared to the millions of dollars a Clevinger can afford for lawyers a battered former partner can’t afford anything like that even on a temporary basis so they’re likely to retract their statements even if they’re accurate just because of money. This type of lawsuit threat is a very standard thing for a guilty party who is trying to intimidate someone. https://www.mtsu.edu/first-amendment/article/1019/slapp-suits Even the concept of this is why he should be on administrative leave. There is literally zero benefit and a ton of loss for MLB and for the White Sox In this playing out in public. This should be a private matter regardless of the outcome and no one comes out of this looking good. The end result of this is MLB having people associate them more with domestic assault and intimidation, regardless of what actually happened. This will cost millions long term at minimum For the White Sox and the MLB, but if Clevinger intimidates her into shutting up it’s worth millions to him. Just put him on leave and let me be bored with spring training fluff. A new manager handling this for weeks? Good luck.1 point
-
How could you not be intimidated when you know the manager is looking for any excuse to park you on the bench in favor for his beloved pet Leury.1 point

Its going to be a great season. The White Sox will be going to the playoffs in 2023.1 point

For some reason I'm the exact opposite. I have a feeling this team is going to click and have a chip on their shoulder. They're still extremely talented.1 point

Andrew Benintendi, one of the most bland and good but no where near exciting players in the big leagues, is a reason to be optimistic? Yup. Sounds like a summary to me.1 point

I have no idea what did or didn't happen but I find it strange for someone who claims to be a victim is doing interviews with local radio stations. Seems like an attention grab1 point

Fields mentioned wanting JSN in the draft. Really hope they get creative and make it happen. Get 4 and 35 from Indy then trade up using future picks to make it happen. I like JSN a lot a lot. If he wasn't hurt last year I really think he'd be in the conversation at #4. Especially after the success Wilson and Olave had last year.1 point

Yoan isn't done getting paid means we're going to get good Yoan the next 2 years. Same goes for TA.1 point

JR owes everything to Michael Jordan. Without him, he would be known as one of the worst owners ever.1 point
-
I've spoken to a number of people over the years who know JR and the one constant I get is that he wants to win. But... He wants to win HIS WAY...under his rules, his restrictions financially, and putting loyalty above all else. Like many in the organization he feels he is smarter than everyone else...history shows that is not the case.1 point

I think he is now torn. If he spent money and stacked the roster this year, he runs the risk of not only eating into his profit, but making his buddy Tony look like an even bigger fool. I am sure JR still thinks he's right and everyone else is wrong, that Tony wins games managing.1 point

Oh Baseball is here. Who knew with the lack of any excitement about this team?1 point

Fucking awful. This POS needs to be locked up in the retirement home already. Keep him away from this team for fucks sake.1 point
