Jake Burger is pretty damn likable. Sure wish he had some defensive value anywhere.6 points

Just a reminder that Rick Hahn is spending $44M on this shitshow of a bullpen. Never forget how bad of a GM he is.5 points

The bullpen is horrible. Diekman and Bummer make my stomach churn with every ball they throw, You could bring a fan in from the stands and get the same result (a loss). TLR saw this team for what it was and quit on them. He and (Leury Garcia) became scapegoats. Jose Abreu had enough. There is just something about these players that make them unlikeable. I've been a Sox fan forever and can never remember needing to force myself to watch games. It's more agony than pleasure. It should be fun. I noticed when Burger homered last night that the dugout responded happily. Except for Jimenez. He never even picked his head up to see what happened. But he does wear bright red shoes. They match Moncada's fluorescent green look nicely. They are all about themselves and not team players. As Hawk Harrelson said " you don't get off the island without the stats"4 points

While we are airing grievances and being all shouty and stuff, can you fix your broken avatar thing Josh? It's been that way for ages and it triggers the OCD in me something fierce. ?3 points

Charlotte 3-0. Hamilton down to .077. Sox should fire Boston and make Billy the first base coach.3 points

Congrats to those that picked Tanner fucking Banks to be the only Sox pitcher to not give up a run or let an inherited runner score through eight today!3 points

I agree Seby should be getting the majority of time at C. I liked Andrus but his ABs suck. Rather see Romy. Want no part of lenyn. Another terrible player who swings long and crazy3 points

Why is Grandal playing and batting 5th? Why not Colas? Grandal should bat 8th with Elvis 9th. I think Seby should play at least 50% of time, why not? Burger homered off if a RHP last night. Grifol may be a great guy but he's a horrible manager.3 points

The season isn’t mathematically over, but it’s over. Same team, same issues; it’s not worth investing time and money into this season. I’m done hoping for things to work themselves out with these players. I don’t really believe rooting for them to lose helps either, unless that path is the one most likely to lead to Hahn’s firing. Which is, what maybe a 10% chance of happening?3 points

White Sox pitching staff: 3rd highest BB rate in baseball White Sox lineup: 2nd lowest BB rate in baseball good luck overcoming that2 points

Get off Twitter my friend...I get all my White Sox knowledge from 4chan2 points

As someone else here stated...he may actually be their best defensive 1B2 points

Dude swung all arms oppo. maybe you saw the term “warning track power” somewhere, but that’s not what it means.2 points
-
Yeah, im looking at more than just result of this start because a mediocre strikeout rate and giving up tons of hard hit contact isn’t going to get it done game to game.2 points

There is a poll going on Twitter right now from Josh Nelson @soxmachine_josh Today's Poll: Is Rick Hahn doing a good job? YES 4% / NO 96% The 4% of the YES votes must be from Rick's family and friends, Cub fans and trolls, his boss Jerry Reinsdorf or just some dumb uneducated people detached from reality and MLB.2 points

I’m sure they’ll find a new and interesting way to piss this game away.2 points

Every time Rick opens his smug mouth I dislike him even more: https://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/white-sox/ct-chicago-white-sox-baltimore-orioles-20230415-5taix33nlfcediifdadd2cq2ri-story.html2 points

So agree with this. I'm starting to sour on Jimenez. Everything is a Fucking joke to that dude. Just break it up. Seriously2 points

Of course. Language barrier for one, Colas may have no idea. But who really cares - 24 YO dude liking public bikini photos…big deal. I certainly wouldn’t advise the activity, but this is a big nothing burger2 points

Whenever it starts, it better not include Rick Hahn handling another rebuild.2 points

Diekman leads the league in appearances. Not sure how you allow your worst pitcher to do that.2 points
-
This team is terrible. There are so many flaws and missing pieces on the ball club. The lack of depth and player development has really haunted the organization. Yes it’s gotten a tad better, but we are still at the bottom of the barrel from the rest of the league. Hahn and Kenny need to be gone, but we all know Jerry will never do that in season.2 points

Evidently Pedro forgot to look at Diekman's numbers thus far this season. In 8 appearances: 6 innings, 7 BB's, 7 ER's, 10.50 ERA and WHIP of 1.83. Pedro you're up 3-0 with only three more innings to cover and this is your first bullpen choice? This trainwreck is now gaining serious momentum heading down the rest of this season!2 points

I just never realized how small he is. He isn’t an awful player, although might be in a couple of years. He just seemed so good in Boston. Now he’s a way more expensive, left handed OF version of Nick Madrigal.2 points
-
I didn’t have high expectations of his offense when he signed. I didn’t expect a lot of power, more good contact and good OBP to balance the struggles vs RHP. His speed and routes in the OF have been pretty bad in my eyes though. I was expecting a much better defender than what we’ve seen so far. It’s still early and he has plenty of time to turn it around. But it’s hard not to see the struggles and not fear another big FA acquisition has come here and fallen flat.2 points
-
Not really surprised. He was a curious target for a team that had plenty o singles slapping, contact already. They needed power so so so badly.2 points

So at what point does this FO apologize to the fan base for completely fucking up this rebuild?2 points

I saw where the Penguins fired both their GM and Team President for missing the playoffs for the first time in I think 18 years earlier today. They had 91 points and a winning record this season. Accountability. Meanwhile Rick Hahn who has literally wasted millions of dollars and had produced only two winning seasons in 10 years still has a job. Only in the world of the White Sox.2 points
