  1. I just want to say that in 2 games Billy has been back he: 1. Last night in the 9th: Stole second, then went from 2nd to 3rd on a grounder left side 95+% of guys hold. (Ultimately stuck due to short flyouts) 2. Tonight in the 8th: Gets to 2nd on a sac bunt from first, then SCORES from 2nd on a groundout from Andrus. And it wasn't even close at home. Dude has a niche and he is the BEST at it. Not denying he can't hit but this dude has a spot on a MLB roster. His energy and presence in general really makes me love this guy. I think he's underrated. I'll take him over Leury 100%

  3. You've seen how the rookies have played this year and you're asking if there's more of them??

  4. What I'm learning is that this is the lineup the Sox need to run out there: CF - Billy Hamilton LF - Mark Payton RF - Adam Engel 2B - Nick Madrigal SS - Tim Anderson 3B - Leury Garcia 1B - Jose Abreu C - Reese McGuire DH - Yermin Mercedes

  9. I think you're naive to believe he's not just as bad. None of the truly terrible stuff will come out until he's dead. It never does with super rich owners like this. A lot of people that "know where the bodies are buried", so to speak, are too afraid of the repercussions to say anything while he's alive. The stories we are going to hear will shock people, I'm sure.

  10. It will be absolutely glorious when this man dies, and, just like Bill Wirtz, he gets booed relentlessly when the White Sox "honor" him. I honestly might even buy tickets to be at that game and boo him. What a piece of s%*#. Worst owner in sports.

  11. Hey now Billy has NEVER dogged it running to first. I’m nearly delirious. What if Kopech goes back to throwing 105? What if Crochet comes back in a week or two with stuff more wicked than pre-TJ? Guys have done that before. What if Liam comes back before ReyLo gets a chance to blow any more saves? What if Moncada has an “on” year instead? Grandal actually hits above .230? Robert learns to either actually hit a slider or lay off of one? Eloy misses less than 30 games? The whole team learns to actually stretch properly? I choose to hope…

  13. Few things. Eloy looking really dangerous. Robert looked engaged and hustled. The At Bats except for sheets were better. If if they kd they battled. Nice job Santos, hope he can get a little more control but 101 is 101 Middleton has been a nice find. Hope Jelly is as good as he was his last appearance when he comes back. That would make this pen a lot more respectable. Cease needs to find his old self. Grifol has had 2 pretty good games managing. Wonder if the Robert benching sent a message, hey last year's bullshit is done. Bench looks happy, love the homer outfit with the hat Hamilton should have been here from the get go

  14. It'll be awesome if Middleton can come out of nowhere and turn into a 'guy' for the bullpen. I like what I see!

  17. If Vaughn had the corner of the bag instead of his foot right in the middle of the base perhaps that play at 1st is an out. When you are as short as he is every inch counts towards the ball .

  18. Yup that .900 OPS and .600 slugging and 3rd on the team in RBIs in about half the AB's of the guys ahead of him screams he's been figured out even if he hasn't done much lately. 12 of his 15 hits are either doubles or HR's. I'll take a .225 BA and times where he doesn't look so good to have his productive bat in there when the next closest guy in slugging is Grandal at .437.

  19. If the guys that are supposed to be good hitters, actually become good hitters . that would be different.

  20. Billy Hamilton is a good role player addition. Shows good defense, is a good bunter and has very good speed

  21. Me too! I guess the FO and manager didn't learn from last year playing them out of position didn't work so well. I also guess the laughable and embarrassing tumble Gavin took falling down adjusting to a flyball earlier this season, wasn't enough evidence that any plan for Sheets continuing in RF was probably not the best decision for the team. Again this goes back to the genius of Rick Hahn who decided to draft Gavin on the second round in 2017 with the 49th overall pick. I'm pretty sure the need for a first baseman in 2017 wasn't the biggest pressing need, when we already had Jose Abreu, who in 2017 hit 33 HR's, 102 RBI's, 43 Doubles and a stat line of .302/.354/.552/.906.

  22. It expires in the next year or two... only a five year deal...the front office all must have strongly believed they could get a much better deal from the theoretical fruits of this competitive window filled with numerous playoff appearances. That blew up in their faces.

  25. Both were beneficiaries of being late inning replacement with White Sox leads, but facts remain facts, and both contributed to wins as well. The disappointment on the list was what could have been with Yermin Mercedes if he had the support of the White Sox manger while here. Nearly all of his games were starts. Also need to give you credit since you are responsible for the lone Chicago White Sox win streak since October 3-4, 2022. Jose sat out on October 5th, and the rest has been mostly bad history, at least until the ninth inning of Sunday's game. Cheers!

  28. When Adam Eaton played there for a year before being traded, that was probably the best we’ve had during Hahn’s stint.

  30. Yes, but this quote wasn't funny or accurate in the context of the White Sox bullpen tonight. Even if one knew the quote, it did not make sense. 4 IP 4 K 0 BB 2 H 1 R 0 Inherited Runners Scored 2.25 ERA 1.00 Ratio

  31. Boomer Humor...I can say that at 53 1/2, lol. You almost knew that Colome was going to get touched up. The shocker was the unheralded guys like Santos and Middleton holding up in high leverage situations.

  32. Other than colome the pen was alright tonight. I kinda like that Middleton dude. Not bad stuff. Santos could be promising too.

  33. Great a two game winning streak! Next stop...the parade. And Colome fits right in with this brutal bullpen. ?

  34. I don't believe they can go 18-11 this month, but if they can, a record of 26-32 and hopefully being 6 games or less out can potentially give them a chance. But honestly I'm so over everyone in this organization, I don't mind losing and just not caring. Last year was such a purgatory of a season, at least it's been straight up hell this year. I think we know what this team is and it sucks.

  35. He's had a whopping 1 year in the minor leagues. If 27-year-old Jake Burger is being proclaimed as the team's future after the absolute hell he battled through, Oscar Colas can be given the benefit of the doubt.

  36. Dude sporting a -0.9 WAR according to Baseball Reference. Colas turns 25 this year as well. I'm not sure he will ever amount to anything in the big leagues.

  37. Alright, we're looking at: Burger/Alberto 3B TA/Andrus SS Andrus/Alberto 2B Vaughn/Sheets 1B Grandal/Zavala C Benintendi LF Robert CF Eloy/Sheets RF, at least until Eloy is hurt, then Colas probably back up. Hamilton/Haseley backup OF Eloy/Sheets/Burger/Grandal DH
