The mega rebuild. Think of the absolute hauls we can get. We'll dominate the 2030s. Unless those prospects get hurt, in which case, we dominate the 2040s.5 points

I'm giving everything that happened after the rain delay a "move on to tmr" pass. That was some strange shit to try and play through. Good job to Mendick keeping focus on that last play.3 points

Uh, lots of people care. I'm very very sorry if that bothers you and wish you a speedy recovery from that pain. The Cubs being idiots, getting worse, and lessening their brand directly impacts the White Sox in a positive way given that they compete for the same demographic of fan.3 points

I would encourage people to cut Jack some slack about some of his posts. What he deals with on a daily basis ain't easy.3 points

Lol imagine praising larussa bullpen usage over renteria while renteria had arguably the best bullpen in baseball with lesser arms than larussa who's bullpen has under performed mightily. Sox blew one lead after the 7th last year. They hired larussa because the owner told them to. No other reason.2 points

I thought that was a hit when it came off Schoop's bat. Nice play by Danny. The resiliency of this team after injuries is very impressive.2 points

Man I just wanted Mercedes to blast one over that 420 ft center field wall and shut those tiger fans up2 points

The guy with 402 likes is criticizing my posts. I guess I got well over 5000 because people hated my posts. Sit down child.2 points

Seriously. It baffles me how much shit talk Jason and Steve get here. At my job we have a TV and can watch whatever we want. The other sales guy here is a big baseball guy as well so we watch a ton of games via MLB.TV. Almost every other broadcast is so boring/dull compared to what we have. I'll put up with a few puns/dad jokes to get the best analyst and a duo that works great together along with a production crew that goes above and beyond the rest of the field. (SoxMath, SoxFiles, etc etc.) Edit: Not to mention we probably have the BEST pre/post game show with Chuck-Ozzie-Frank2 points

only when he wants to. guy can't help but to hit that little view button on responses! I figured I'd toss him a post that agrees for once to help lower his blood pressure.2 points

We are all Sox fans pulling for the same goals. Things can get off topic but always remember that. I appreciate any and all Sox fans willing to spend this much time on a message board to discuss our team. And as was stated, nothing wrong with Cubs banter because they are a local rival. Our team deserves their due (which they are getting), so we must continue to be a vocal bunch. Remember when Liam gave us a shoutout for being so passionate about it?2 points

Finally, La Russa is showing that he understands the modern game. I'm talking about Tim Anderson at catcher.2 points

bringing back hellthread to say illinois has reopened, chicago has reopened, we have declined to the point that we are seeing only a 1% positive rate and sub 500 cases a day, and vaccinations 7-day average has actually been increasing. And if that's not good enough, it's been awesome that now when I go to unload the dishwasher I just need to put my hand near the silverware tray and all the utensils fly to my hand.2 points

Crazy to me that there were posters who looked at that lineup throughout this offseason and were like: "meh"2 points

The Sox have no depth at all yet they've suffered 3 huge injuries and are in first place and arguably the best team in baseball. Hmm2 points

He'll be an everyday guy from here on out, probably deserves a thread. Former 22nd rounder, tools aren't that loud, but doesn't seem to have much of a weakness and is in his baseball prime at 27. He doesn't do a lot wrong. Takes big cuts, has a good upper cut swing for the most part, and has a strong arm and decent range up the middle. You'd like more contact and maybe a few more walks but in today's MLB hitting 270 isn't exactly mediocre, in fact it might be solidly above average. Again, doesn't do a lot to hurt you as a 2B. ZIPS ROS is insanely bullish on him, basically thinks he's a 3 WAR player and will be worth 1.2 over the rest of the season. Not a Rick Hahn thread but take a bow man, whatever process lead to Danny as the 30th is some vidya game dynasty shit. I don't really see a lot to be down about with Danny. He just fucks, as I've said. He is a guy that fucks. Happy for him he's developed into a solid option and a guy that can fill in and keep this winning season going even as a backup now pressed into full time.1 point

Madrigal was a perfect fit in our line-up..a high on-base, contact hitter. His spot in the line-up will now be another black hole. If Vaughn and Mercedes don't pick it up substantially Sox will not score enough runs to remain competitive. If the White Sox win the Division with the current line-up, LaRussa will be Manager of the year and he will deserve it.1 point

Publicly begging pitchers to come right at him might make them less likely to come right at him1 point

At least with Cease, increasing his spin rate was a stated goal for the offseason involving actual adjustments based on feedback from Katz.1 point

I actually like VaFAN. The problem is that there's no need to FORCE or at least INFLUENCE people to feel a certain way, or to be a more positive/optimistic type of fan that meets their own unique individualistic approval. Not with a franchise that has the unique history of the White Sox. And it wasn't about VaFAN, it's about certain posters trying to mock others (wow, I like to make lists of players, that's my own thing, I don't do it for anyone's approval, it's more like White Sox Therapy) and doing it just to get a cheap laugh. VaFAN is a smart guy, but he's also smart enough to realize there will eventually be more resistance to that approach...it's certainly not going to CHANGE anyone's perspective, any more than the two political parties can present what they to believe to be is "objective" evidence to convince the other side of the rightness of their cause. In reality, those positions just become more entrenched...increasingly polarized. We see it (nearly) every single game in terms of comments about TLR. It's not like it has gotten better, even though we have one of the best records in the American League. We also have an expected W/L of 20 games over .500...it's pretty darned unusual to have a difference of more than +2 or -2 for the majority of teams in MLB.1 point

The 2H for Kanny will be very telling. Guys were given aggressive assignments and it should be no surprise the bulk of them are struggling, but it will be interesting to see who actually turns it around in the coming months. I’m still optimistic about the young arms and think at least a couple of positional guys will take major steps forward.1 point

This has been a problem for years, for several players. This isn't new because of recent "reconfigurations".1 point
