Tony has left the dugout to yell at Yermin. Not once to have his player’s back.5 points

Just imagine bringing in Marshall to face a righty when they have an OPS near 1.000 off him.5 points

Boston 2-2 Yanks 0-3 (two walk offs) Jays 2-1 Rays 2-1 I'll take that. Get healthy.4 points

Yeah, skew it all you want. After 25 minutes of the first game of the series your mind was made up, but no one is surprised. It's your gig after all. Keep up the bad work4 points

Some times you're in such a hurry to disparage the Sox . Did you know TB is 2nd in MLB in runs scored per game on the road barely behind the Astro's ? Astro's 5.78 and TB 5.77.4 points

Ok cool I thought you were just talking about guys who would ve started today. I really can't think of one guy who hasn't had some nice contributuions in a lot of games. When you add them all up its a lot. Mercedes was huge for a while, Hamilton had a nice little run for some games and always contributes defensively and on the bases when he gets on. Vaughn kills LHP and while he'll never be an above average fielder , he's steady. Lamb has hit some HR's got some walks. Goodwin comes up gets 5 RBI in his 1st game, adds some speed and can play all OF positions well enough. Leury does Leury things , Speed and defense inf. and OF and good enough hitting. Engel finally back robs a HR and hits 3 HR's in a short time. Mendick has a big dick and big balls. Grinder extraordinaire . Sorry if I have left anyone out . Edit: OK I forgot Collins and he's the backup catcher and Giolito and Rodon both like throwing to him. He's probably the 2nd most polarizing guy on the team behind Madrigal because his pitch calling and framing get scrutinized to death by those who don't like him . If its good enough for Gio and Rodon he's good enough for me. Always nice to have a guy who can hit RHP with power on the bench.3 points

Dare I say that I have moved to......cautiously optimistic??? I'm probably staying there until I see what Robert and Jimenez look like when they return. Go get some bullpen arms and a RF.3 points

We could be getting Kopech, Hamilton, and Fry back in the near future. Robert and Jimenez by August. Oh my.3 points

So the last two teams that came to Sox park in first place each lost 2 out of 3 games to the White Sox.3 points

You mean 4 starters, Yoan, Nicky, Eloy and Robert...what this team did to TB by winning 2/3 with basically half our team out is nothing short of amazing.3 points

A team with no depth, and a ‘one ply offense’ has the best record in baseball on June 16th, after beating the other best team without half their starters.3 points

Eaton really should go on the IL. He’s doing no one any good trying to play through his issues.3 points

It's shocking where this team is at all things considered. Everyone involved deserves a ton of credit.3 points

LOL everyone losing their sh*t calling for Eaton and Mercedes to sit. Eaton and Mercedes sit. Damn this lineup sucks. 18 games over .500 after today. If not, the team has still done exactly what they have needed to do this far. Don't stop get it get it.3 points

This thread is about acquiring Escobar, not about "replacing Madrigal". The rumoured Sox interest in Escobar doesn't emanate from a perceived hole at the keystone position. Mendick would be fine, if this team didn't have such a dearth of LH power. Remember, even if the Sox got both Eloy and Robert back, they still would not have a single really big LH power bat. Moncada has not proven to be a big home run threat and Grandal is,....well Grandal. He's a very good OBP hitter, with decent power, but he's not suited to be a #3, or clean up hitter. If one wants to talk about acquiring someone other than Escobar, please try to limit your suggestions to a LH power hitter. You may disagree, but you can be sure that management is more interested in fixing this roster imbalance, than they are in finding someone to simply play second base. Even if they weren't satisfied with Mendick, they have other internal options. There is Leury, Tim Beckham and even Marco Hernandez. The problem is that none of those guys provide that much needed LH power.3 points

Can't believe we stole a game with so many starters out, but I guess it's not that hard to do when your pitching is absolutely nails3 points

You want fans to credit him for not using his best reliever? Or how wonderfully he managed the bullpen? Good luck with that. The players won despite him again but keep on keepin on.2 points

Was at the game! I've been lucky to be at some good ones this year, and this by far was the most electric. Felt like we are already at 100% capacity. So damn fun!2 points

The difference is Vaughn has a future on this team. Can play multiple positions and has tons of talent. You can’t complain when I talk about him but also complain when I don’t. Don’t get mad because I specifically don’t talk about yermin. I think most baseball people would say it’s smart to have more faith in vaugh then yermin at this point. Anyone saying Mercedes is as valuable at this point as Vaughn is lying because they like him. Once again though tried not to mention him and look what happens.2 points

The team is 22nd in home runs - but has the 3rd best offense in terms of fWAR and the best run differential in the league. They're probably the best offense in the league at manufacturing runs.2 points

Talk about late game defense with a lead. How does a ball find grass with Billy and Adam in the outfield?2 points

We aren’t going to trade any major prospects for Escobar. We seem to be doing fine with our internal options. Mendick has done a very good job. We have Engel back and soon we will have Kopech and Billy Hamilton back2 points

Krogman with 3 walks. Strikeouts are high, but his statline is super impressive otherwise.2 points
