Lol. The Os top 10 prospects are all of the table. Except Joey Ortiz. He’s available.5 points

If stretching him out includes him spending 6 or so weeks in the minors, I’m all for it. Gladly extend that control a year on a guy who has been criminally mishandled.3 points

Wrong. You take the franchise changing QB every time. None of those guys individually or combined can compare with a stud franchise QB for 10+ years. Offer that package of players and picks to the Texans for Stroud and see what they say. In today’s NFL, if you don’t have the stud QB, you don’t have anything.2 points

Bulls fans booed the wrong Jerry. Plain and simple. Reinsdorf really is public enemy #1.2 points

Value wise, yes. But as we all know, the Bears have never found their guy, ever. And in today’s NFL, more than ever, they need to find him. If they don’t, none of the other moves really matter.2 points

236 yards in the first half for Stroud against the VAUNTED Cleveland defense. Fields had 166 yards the whole game. But I’m sure that disparity is because Getsy called a terrible game, or the Oline didn’t give him 10 seconds to throw…2 points

Dissociate quickly each day. Focus on what is making you happy each day. Even when you have a job you love there are periods when it isn't great. For me September is hell then it gets really great then February and March get tough again. Once I realized that, I could cope with the bad stretches. Good luck.2 points

I'd be perfectly fine with that package. Bradfield sure fits the mold of what the org is trying to prioritize.2 points

I kind of disagree that we deserve it only in the sense that it was at Reinsdorfs behest that Krause became a super villain in this city. however, last night was beyond the pale How many times has reinsdorf been in the athletic over the last three years for totally embarrassing s%*# that really has nothing to do with a sport. Just take your money and go, sir. We are done here2 points

Also disappointing that Jordan, Pippen, and Rodman didn’t show up. Booing Krause’s widow is shameful. It’s just embarrassing to be a Chicago fan. Continually stupid franchises and fans.2 points

My buddy is going on a cruise today and had to be in Florida by 2pm or lose the cruise. Thursday night his wife started panicking they were going to have their flights cancelled so he just said f*** it and they rented a car and drove to Indy that night instead of taking their morning flight and then drove the rest of the way south yesterday and that was probably the smartest thing he could have done2 points

From drinking out of puddles in Cuba to a $2.7 million dollar signing bonus from the Sox. Poor guy.2 points

I'll gladly take D.J. Moore + Wright + Stevenson + #1 overall pick this year + 2nd next year. Now if he passes on Caleb and he really does turn into Patrick Mahomes... then by all means.1 point

They should have been booing Uncle Jerry, not Krause. But I think this is because of the state of Chicago sports in general, this city is tired of losing and frustrations boiled over in our own Philadelphia moment. Not that it's any excuse. Everyone hates on Krause for what he did, but Jordan was 37, so was Rodman and Pippen was 33. They were old. It was time. They got high picks during some terrible drafts. Krause is probably the single greatest executive in Chicago history. He might have been an asshole, but that doesn't take away what he accomplished with the Bulls. Stan Bowman is the one with a large amount of success that deserves that kind of reaction.1 point

Steve Rosenbloom blamed the clueless Bulls as well. Reinsdorf must hire the dumbest PR people for both of his teams. How often has Krause been booed over the years that they should have expected it and known better?1 point

It looks like Coby Mayo has never played outfield, so it is kinda strange you’re assuming he has that versatility.1 point

No they can't afford to and catchers age out in late 20s early 30s. Look at Mauer. Basallo to stay on roster would have 40-60 days catching the rest at DH and RF or LF or 1B. A lot like Melendez on KC. But Basallo possesses so much more trade value as a pure catcher...unless they hold him long term and trade Rutschman at max value. Then Basallo slots in. But Rutschman is an Arozarena or Franco to Baltimore. Franchise icons...but even they are eventually replaceable in that business model. Franco is long forgotten with Caminero in already. All that said...Holliday and Henderson will hold their value much better and are where the extensions have to go eventually.1 point

Have him get those innings in the minors. And when he gets hurt, he won’t have to burn service time on MLB IL.1 point

Don’t forget Norby! Hell, we might be able to get both if we were to package Robert & Cease together!1 point

I'm sure there's gonna be more, gotta figure out the partnership with Mr. Clean first before they unveil Pedro's bobblehead1 point

I enjoy the special nights when you can get a limited edition cap like the Italia hat from last season....even if they did make me sit through 7 innings of corpseball to get it1 point

I for one am happy the Sox didn’t trade for Michael Busch. Would have been a very underwhelming primary offensive piece. I’d prefer both of Bradfield / Beavers honestly. While I wouldn’t love a quantity deal for Cease but Westburg + Beavers + Bradfield + a pitcher would be interesting and could age really well. But certainly not ready to pull the trigger on something like that.1 point

I think you misread. he’s saying it’s more likely cease sticks around and starts the season with the team than it is he takes a light return.1 point

So far this off-season has been a complete bust, I’ve been more excited watching grass grow.1 point

Milwaukee got dumped on, and it continues to fall. Flying to Florida tomorrow, or so I hope. Booked flight for 630am already cancelled so hoping my 535pm replacement holds.1 point

Lots of stuff gets you jumped on, LOL. Balta is the king of being jumped on . I've had my fair share too but I get proved right often enough that it doesn't phase me much . There isn't any right or wrong in how optimistic or pessimistic one can feel when it comes to your favorite sports team. Hey if someone says they want some of what you're smoking look at it this way. They want to be optimistic too and if what you're smoking can do it , they will take that high to feel good.1 point

yeah I never got the impression that he's a bad teammate or anything, actually the opposite, he simply sucked at baseball last year. and he behaves in a way that rubs some fans the wrong way. the only "clubhouse issue" I can recall is that rumor about a conflict with Groundball where Tim seemed to be in the right.1 point

His "cancer" was turning from a 4-5 WAR player into a .5-1.5 WAR player. Is he a "good" club house guy? Probably not, but in a winning team, he's just another cog.1 point

Thank you Caulfield, for posting the weather report for Wuhan in a blizzard thread. We all found it helpful and most importantly, topical to what Kyle had posted. Keep up the great work.1 point

For whatever hits and misses I've had on here, Tim being an asshole was my biggest hit. I was banging the drum on here that he was a cancer and needed to go during his peak years. There are several reasons no one is touching him. Someone will for at a discount, and that discount will still be too high.1 point
