We got 2 of their top 5 prospects, for a rental of Giolito, while also shedding salary with ReyLo. I hate the organization, but there is nothing wrong with that return.6 points
-
Quero is a legit prospect. Callis and Mayo at Pipeline have been high on him. Probably slots in at #3 on Sox list ahead of Jacob Gonzalez. This does not suck for two rentals.6 points

Very nice return. @Balta1701 - You going to admit you were wrong about Lucas commanding a top 100 prospect?5 points

This is such a bad take. Our farm system is bad also but our #2 would be Noah Schultz. If someone got our #2 prospect from a bad system would this be bad for the team. Judge the players.....not the system4 points

It was obviously coming, but it still makes me miserable. On Quero, from Baseball Prospectus who had him 37/50 midseason:4 points

This is actually a really good trade for us.4 points

To be clear, I don’t even care if these guys end up being crap. I say trade anyone from this roster for as much as you can get. This team is years away from contention, so might as well try to stock up on prospects again.4 points

We got a top 100 prospect for Giolito. Isn’t that what most of the optimists were expecting?4 points

Might as well get swept so the Cubs don't sell and the Sox have a less diluted market work with...4 points

Thinking back, that 5th inning might have been the worst inning of White Sox baseball I've ever seen.3 points

If Seby blocks the fucking ball like any half assed catches should inning was over. Pitchers have to pitch over pathetic baseball too often.3 points

I'm so ready for the Joe Kelly experience to be over. It was a terrible signing in the moment and worked out even worse than I anticipated.3 points

I hate when Lynn pitches like garbage and then scoffs at his defense. Don't let the door hit you on your fat ass on the way out.3 points

I feel like I was oversold on Beni's defense in LF, if I'm being honest.3 points

Eloy was hosed by the ump. You would think when a catcher sets up off the plate and the pitcher throws it where the catcher sets up they would notice.3 points

Whatever the Sox owe this guy, just DFA him and eat his contract, maybe they can write it off. The least would be that we would have a young healthy guy who would play more than 33% of the time. I would bring up Sosa and stick him at second base the rest of the year and see what we have with him with Burger going back to third base where he belongs.3 points

Yep. Lost Abreu who was their best bat from last year (he sucks this year but they still lost their best hitter and replaced with nothing) and their 2nd best pitcher from last year who was a total fluke walked as well. They brought in a shitty always injured 5th starter in Clevinger and then decided they would rely on Eloy (lol) to stay healthy. Add in some not shocking regression from Cease and Anderson falling off badly (which really started last year with his total loss of power) and here you are even with Luis Robert having a fantastic year.3 points

Do you honestly feel there's no areas where the White Sox could improve or should be doing better in the middle of their unprecedented championship window?3 points

The last game the Sox were 20 games under .500 https://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/CHA/CHA201909240.shtml September 24, 2019: Cleveland 11 Chicago 0 Win: Mike "Scumbag" Clevinger (13-3) 7 Innings 0 Runs Loss: Carson Fulmer (1-2) 1 Inning 4 ER If the Sox lose tomorrow, they will reach the nadir of the 2019 season.3 points

The angst comes from the fact this could be a persistent and possibly career ending injury if he can't recover and be effective, and the Sox' recent track record with assessing treating in season injuries. It's not the Eloy has a mosquito bite, he's sitting out 26 games to recover across three different minor league facilities to find his favorite one and keep his rate stats high type injury.2 points

Too busy parsing over the Rule V eligibles of the Rays, Astros, Orioles, Diamondbacks and Dodgers to meet with the riffraff media.2 points

Even if Hahn gets fired, the POS owner will likely promote the next one in line, which is likely the loser Chris Getz who is the Asst. GM and director of player development, who has assisted Hahn in the player evaluations and player developing in the minors. Like that scenario doesn't reek of a disaster and another GM trainwreck. I'm sorry but until Jerry passes away and the team is sold, this team will live in one constant hellfire nightmare.2 points

Literally everything he counted on making this team a contender has failed. Every player has been incorrectly valued or handled. It’s hard for me to believe that he thinks he is the man for this job anymore2 points

grandal... add this guy to the list of complete and utter hatable trash cans. 1. His pitch selection as a catcher baffles me often. 2. He couldn't throw out andrew vaughn stealing 2nd. 3. I could beat him in a race running backwards and im 47 4. mediocre bat for a catcher.2 points

Honestly at this point, what’s the point? Just 60-day IL him and see him at Spring Training.2 points

Yes, he did hide ala Ryan Pace. Pedro Grifol took the press conference instead, because he honors his responsibilities unlike the worthless Reinsdorf crony hire. Pedro said the following: "This is on me. I said we had high expectations and we failed to meet them. I am disappointed and there is no excuse for it." "We are addressing all of the components. We are trying to finish strong and get ready for next season." "I am having difficult conversations with players, but I'm not going to throw them under the bus publicly." "Whether it's personnel changes or cultural changes or whatever the case may be, it's going to happen." Fire Rick Hahn, NOW!2 points
