Pal has insider knowledge. Ray Ray hates people here with inside knowledge. AND his name is Pal? Woof, get ready for Ray Ray to come after you.3 points

I understand if you don’t like him personally or his previous Twitter feuds/rants. But what’s wrong with what he posted this time? He’s exposing the ridiculousness of the MLB.2 points

Lux is from my hometown of Kenosha. Always thought it was so cool that he was a first rounder and got selected by the Dodgers.2 points

Abreu grounded out with the bases loaded to end that game, too, despite all the "stans" telling me he was like the "league MVP" or something. Thanks, Jerry!2 points

He bad mouth's Keuchel every chance he gets because Keuchel couldn't back up his leadership blatherings by pitching well enough to win a playoff game. You see that hate in many of his posts . Grandal is a close 2nd.2 points

Im not sure why people are shocked that one of the worst GMs is making bad decisions. I guess the silver lining is that had he gotten Wilson he probably stays as GM, now maybe we can move on next year.2 points

George: "So what is the plan then, why should I keep you?" Pace/Nagy speaking at same time: "We are going to guarantee the salaries of our most expensive players and release our top cornerback so that we can sign ... Pro Bowler Andy Dalton!" George: "PACE YOU'VE DONE IT AGAIN!"2 points

If they're drafting a QB (presumably trading up to do so), saving that extra $10 million would be useful to improve the O-Line in front of that QB. Play Foles to start the year until your drafted QB is "ready enough". He's already on the roster, that's a sunk cost. Dalton will be in the same boat as Glennon before long, not nearly good enough, losing games early in the season, forcing the young guy into action.2 points

Haha, pump the breaks. I thought it was a done deal once already. Save the HJs for when its final.2 points

I love the fact four infielders must be in the infield and not on the outfield grass at all times. I despise the shift so much it has almost ruined baseball for me. Players won't bunt to beat the shift. I despise when a lefty slams the ball in the hole between first and second and the outfielder throws him out. I despise when a player rocks what should be a single up the middle but there's an infielder right over second base. Anything please to get rid of shifts. I also hate when a player does the Paul Konerko unflipping the velcro on the batting glove after every pitch. Call me insane and in need of help but I can't take it. Yet I of course loved Konerko. I'm not crazy about Manfred's ruining the playoffs but please please get rid of shifts and please start calling the belt high fastball a strike. I can't take it.1 point

Yeah, if those eyeballs were about Lucas then that’s about the best news possible.1 point

With Sale, you're on the hook for $115 million, for, at best, 3 1/2 seasons. Roughly $33 million/year. He's not going to be back until at least July, according to all reports. And that's at the earliest. Bigger question, will he be able to throw his sharp breaking slider with confidence in that elbow, or will be it be that bigger, lopping, slurvier version. That MIGHT work, but not if his fastball velocity's down in the low 90's. If the White Sox refuse to run $140-160 million payrolls out there...then it's a non-starter. Right now, there are no guarantees either way, just words. The only thing with Rick Hahn we can actually believe in are actions, not empty promises and PR-speak gobbledygook.1 point

Wow, this is huge news if the eyeballs were in reference to Giolito. Very huge news.1 point

Sportrac says the Red Sox Salary for this year is $180 mil...and $140 committed for next year...and they were a last place team. If you are looking at where to send the vultures...you go after high payroll, disappointing teams. If Sale could be talked into it...wouldn't you want him? 2018 he was 12-4 with a 2.11 ERA and 6.9 WAR...and then his arm fell off. If after two years of sitting out he can come back for a late career surge I can't imagine a more exciting, realistic, option.1 point

Well yes...Sale would have to be on board. But why wouldn't he be? Seems like the Red Sox are in rebuilding mode. Sale got his WS ring and his payday from the Red Sox...but he had 7 years with the White Sox...he must have some good memories. And if he sees that he could come here and get two more rings??? Seems to make sense for Red Sox, White Sox and Sale...get it done.1 point

Weird that Jerry thinks he has to drag out his mouthpiece for this one.1 point

I was going to say - they better figure that out...cause being forced to cut / trade Fuller in such short order would have been such a lack of planning. I'm okay if they decide to move Fuller via trade and get a 3rd and a future pick or something...just like I am 100% okay if they trade Robinson and sign a different wideout. Quite frankly both of those would be moves that potentially enhance the teams future (even if there was a near term hit) as well as add extra flexibility.1 point

Benetti and Stone on TV and Kasper on radio today. Amazing to think we are spoiled for choice after so many years of bad broadcasts.1 point

Foles was a Matt Nagy production. Cam Newton wasn't as good as Andy Dalton in 2020. There were rumors the Bears were going after the Red Rocket last season. this is a different year. The only free agent QB left on the market you would even consider advertising as a starter is Alex Smith.1 point
-
It is this - that is why Pace should be out. If this happens - it is because he spent money on Graham, Foles and Quinn a year ago - and the cost of that is a top 10 NFL CB who is paid at a fair deal. That is just one view - it is also the fact that we are now stuck with Foles this year and weren't able to resolve the Arob situation / forced ourselves into spending $20M on cap space on 2 QB's noen of which can ever be anything better than mediocre. That is awful.1 point

The Bears did upgrade from Trubisky. Dalton had a market. Other teams had some interest. Maybe not $10 million worth. Mitch is standing around and doesn't seem to have a market.1 point

An extension announcement on the broadcast would be nice... Vaughn can come out of the dugout with a giant oversized check thats memo is "hey Gio...we're rich, biatch! "1 point

He definitely didn't have his best stuff in that playoff game, and we all wish he could have pitched better, but I don't think I'd say he got "shelled". He gave up 3 earned runs. And he was money almost all season long. The point you are making is terrible.1 point

Did you adjust the tickets requested in the upper left hand corner? It defaulted to 2, and by default only showed pods of two. But if you changed it to 4 or 6 it then showed the pods for that quantity. Lots of 4 seat pods on the LD when I logged in. Also I know for a fact that there was at least one earlier login at 10 am.1 point

Dalton's top games were against the NY Giants. Minnesota, Cincinnati, and Philadelphia. This is the definition of backup QB syndrome - "The guy we have was bad, therefore nameless other QB must be better".1 point
-
Whats sad is I could totally see Dalton having the best season of any Bears QB ever if they can keep him protected. What has been wrong with AJ Green? Just old? A Robinson/Green/Mooney/Kmet/Graham/Cohen receiving group could be pretty fun and Green should come cheap. Snag an OT in round 1, take a chance on Trask/Newman in RD 2.1 point

Mitch made his numbers vs. Detroit, Jacksonville, Houston and Minnesota. Put him in Dalton's situation last year, and you would know Dalton is better. Not a lot better. But better.1 point

Trump has also said on multiple occasions now that people should get vaccinated. He has done a lot of things and maybe he could do more...but it isn’t like he is out there saying don’t do it or anything like that.1 point

I believe @Dick Allen said in the offseason that if Rodon was coming from another team he'd have been the guy we'd all be focusing on. He was right, but no pitcher has disappointed me more than Rodon so I still didn't want him. But the guy is still one of the best reclamation projects in the league and he does look like he took this offseason as the kick in the butt it was.1 point

I'm not a super huge fan of going Giolito-Keuchel-Lynn-Cease-Rodon. They should pitch one of Keuchel or Lynn 4th to break up Cease and Rodon in case they are getting pulled early. Put an innings eater between those two. But whatever.1 point

Rodon looked fantastic today. Best I have seen in years. He's currently got the 5th spot over Lopez IMO.1 point
