I bet Tony is such a self centered egotistical prick that he actually does think they’re doing this “for” him not despite him.6 points

I couldn't imagine a more fitting signal to the FO, fans, TLR, and Jerry than what Elvis did cranking that grand slam last night against a position player in a 9-0 game. Same Minnesota team, last season, who put a position player in to pitch, when Yermin went yard and was quickly and unceremoniously thrown under the bus by Tony LaRussa to the press. Since that moment, the Sox have hovered around .500 and looked unmotivated, bereft of 'fun', and lacking any sort of killer instinct. So, considering Tony is a Hall of Fame Person, Cairo surely threw Andrus under the bus last night, right?5 points

DeRosa can kiss my a$$. He probably hasn't watched 3 entire Sox games all year. Wants to play "tough, old school guy" to pretend he's relevant. Wants to manage. Worthless ex-Cub. Stay away from our team.5 points

Cairo should go when TLR is officially gone. I don’t think any non-Tony Stan’s think Cairo is anything but a Tony yes man. I’ll take Cairo 100/100 times over Tony but the Org badly needs all fresh blood next season.4 points

To the manager Tony LaRussa, who has been holding this team back all year, I say, don't hurry back . to the man Tony LaRussa, i say, I wish you all the best.4 points

They had a great chance to take a lead in the 7th, but bad coaching and execution cost them. Haseley should have either been waved home on Pollock's double or he should have been off with the pitch on the squeeze. I just looked at the the replay of Pollock's double and the throw completely missed the cut-off man and bounced slowly to home plate. Haseley was basically around third and stopping as the throw missed the cut-off man. He could have scored on that.3 points

Pollock actually looks pretty good out in CF.3 points

This is one of those games that highlights how badly Hahn failed this offseason.3 points

I see Cairo went to the same “don’t try to win every game” school of TLR managing.3 points

I still think Billy Hamilton was a huge reason we destroyed the Twins last year. Almost all his big hits and plays were against the Twins last year. Every time he came up in a big spot he delivered.3 points

I need to go back to not watching the games. They've been doing better when I do that...3 points

2nd and 3rd one out …and you bunt it to the pitcher and have the runner not start until contact with a small lead.3 points

Real bad game from Andrew all around today.3 points

I will not allow myself to be sucked back in until they're in 1st place by 2.0 games or more.3 points

There’s a reason his WHIP would make a solid GPA2 points

Diekman looks like he has a meth addiction Also, he sucks2 points

Romy and Leury weren't gonna actually hit Duran. I had no problem with the bunt, but you gotta execute it better. Either go on the pitch or don't bunt it directly at the pitcher.2 points

Everyone is taking a dump on Giolito but its a 2-0 game. He wasn't efficient but its not like every one of our starters has to throw shutouts to get wins. The offense just needs to be average and we win this game.2 points

Any manager who wears high socks as if he's a player, that's a complete giant turd to me. Like Dusty and his wrist bands and batting gloves .2 points

Now that I think about it, I bet LaRussa put Giolito up to this. Couldn't stand seeing the winning sreak without him, texted Giolito and told him to suck. Dammit Tony!2 points

Smoke and mirrors all game by Lucas. He still sucks.2 points

Whooohooo, White Sox on a 5 game winning streak and making a strong move to the front of the division. Let's hope they keep it going and from the play of the last 4 days, I say they will!!!! With TLR out, this team has come together and play some inspiring baseball. Coincidence? I think not, I believe there was a ton of discontent in the clubhouse and 90% of that was due to him as head coach. I may be way off base but something has kicked in with this team and every player seems to be on the same page now.2 points

I am tired of the unofficial rules of baseball. You are all professionals who worked hard at your craft that a majority of the population couldn't even sniff. You want to complain about a pro torching another pro. Outrageous!2 points

Twins were bush league putting in a position player in a 7 run game and icing Cease. If they got mad that the Sox hung 7 on Gordon then maybe they should have put a real pitcher in to finish the game2 points

The problem bringing Jose back is not only the fact he will be 36 years old and his power numbers are declining, but the Sox will have to pay him over 20 million. I am quite sure Jose won't be giving the Sox a hometown special discount and take less money. I think not paying him 20 plus million and saving that money to be used toward a legitimate stud starter, or a power hitting right fielder would be better use of the money. I also don't think we lose any production at first base with Vaughn there because the fact is, Vaughn is tied with Abreu for the team lead in RBI's with 63. However Vaughn has only played 109 games vs Jose's 131 games. Vaughn also has 80 less AB's and has more home runs 15 to 14. Keep in mind Vaughn is only 24 years old and has so much upside potential. Don't forget Vaughn due to Covid never played in the minors, so his numbers should only get better as he adjusts to major league pitching. Abreu had an awesome career for the Sox and he will go down as one of the best Sox hitters of all time. However in my opinion, it's time to move on. As I said, not paying Jose saves the Sox some serious money for other positions we desperately need help at.2 points

If TLR is forced to vacate the position, and if the Sox continue to play well under Cairo, they still need to have a full and expansive search for the next manager. If Cairo is the guy, then they should still interview people to gain all the information and ideas they can about the game and about their own team.2 points

Not trying to steal info but in case some people skip the home page and side bar information: Chapelli and Hernandez from DSL now in AZ. Noah Schultz pitched there also. Tommy Sommer added to Germany WBC as he has dual citizenship. Further info at side of homepage.2 points

I didn’t hate the opener idea. It was a really bad matchup on paper Gray v Martin. It was a bold choice, but I don’t hate it.2 points

Sox gotta go internal at 2B in 23. They have like half a dozen options there. And yes, Romy is looking good. He’s a ball player and we need more of those.2 points

Hoping to have Kelly breeze through the first.......didnt happen. That sounds like a Tony phone call move.2 points

They've been teasing us all season, let's hope this run is the real thing and continues to the end of the season, not saying win every game but if they win every series with maybe a sweep against the Tigers at home that should win the division.2 points

“I was going to empty the tank and give everything I got,” Cease said of his ninth inning approach. “It’s an incredibly difficult feat to achieve. It definitely would have meant a lot.” All this means brother, is that when you do throw a no-no it’ll mean just a little bit more to you.2 points

If they win tomorrow, I don't see how you can bring TLR back this season, right? (Removing the idea that he shouldn't be here in the first place, or that he should have been gone months ago, etc)2 points

I'm grateful the current White Sox manager won't be calling for Elvis Andrus to be hit tomorrow.2 points
