It was over after they lost 10 in a row. It was over when they were obliterated on the home opener. s%*#, it was over when Hahn just ran it back with this dope selling us fresh BS. It’s over. Burn it to the fucking ground.8 points

Perhaps we are all dead, living in hell and doomed to watch this organization for eternity.6 points

No one that is serious about winning wants that guy anywhere near their team.5 points

This is a very strange take. The site shouldn't allow articles like this to be posted because you have a personal opinion of not paying for sports information? I mean, im not going to pay for it either but I appreciate the blurb about Colson and Noah and that's information I wouldn't have had otherwise.5 points

LOL! I just turn on the game and it's already 4 - 0! We traded Chris Sale in his prime for this bum and Moncada?? This organization is hot garbage.4 points

almost impossible to meaningfully improve strike zone recognition at the MLB level. While you can often change your true talent against certain types of pitches in the zone, you rarely see guys that had a high o-zone swinging percentage in the minors suddenly turn patient at the MLB level. I'm pretty sure you know this honestly, but just reiterateda: this is an org wide failing, the players are just here and shitty at it because the org doesn't draft for it, doesn't develop it and certainly doesn't put a priority on it. Amazingly we seem to have zero core values as a franchise other than perhaps raw velocity for our staff. There's almost nothing else we do better than bottom 1/3 in MLB.3 points

They don’t have to say it’s over. They also don’t have to indicate a self-delusion. Just talk about competing etc. Blah blah blah blah blah.3 points

I do love them taking a guy off the IL and letting him throw a 40 pitch inning in a meaningless game though.3 points

It is blah, blah, blah but I will say I like what I read from Anderson. He admits... "I have been going through a lot" I also am encouraged that he says his body is finally feeling better and normal Lets see if 2nd half shows that. My goal now for this team is not to win the division, that is not happening. I would like to see ..... *A winning 2nd half. *improved play from Anderson, Vaughn, colas *as much as many of us are done with him I want to see a healthy moncada and see what he does *i want to see Kopech take the next step *i want to see Santos become our closer and see what he does *i would like to see who gets traded and what we get. *most importantly, I want to see how the FO sets up the roster and team towards 2024 I hate this team and organization but there is talent here. Can they bring that talent out in these guys...3 points

That's fine with me and that's fair. I would suggest though in the future, we don't post articles of websites that the many of people here don't subscribe to. I have plenty of money and if I wanted to subscribe to these various sports sites, I easily could. I don't subscribe to any of them for the pure principle of it. I refuse to pay for sports information I can go search and find at another free sports site.3 points

Coop will fix'em. There was a time kids when the Sox coaching staff could fix pitchers with potential. Way back around the turn of the 21st century. It was a magical time. It almost doesn't seem real anymore. Now we snap defeat from the jaws of victory.3 points

Crochet has burned through so much service time and it seems very unlikely he'll ever become a starter. I'd imagine he has very minimal trade value at this point.2 points

Who is everyone clamoring to replace Vaughn with exactly? Burger? Sheets? Remillard? The Yerminator? Please tell me not Eloy to first again? How long until his arm/elbow gets extended into an oncoming runner and he's out for the season? And let's not get started on his lack of throwing ability. Coming in on bunts makes Burger look like Brooks Robinson.2 points

Keener was 97 in Law's rankings, 108 in mlb pipeline, he was drafted 87th or something. Of the 500 or so prospects they rank they accurately pegged that guy around the back of the 3rd round and the sox picked him middle of the third. Not really a huge reach there.2 points

If he doesn't bounce back until next year, he won't be worth much at the trade deadline, because most of the time guys with 2 months of control aren't worth all that much at the trade deadline. $4 million for the last 2 months of this year and $10 million for the first 4 months of next year, $14 million ish total cost if he is movable, $18.5 million if he continues to struggle - that's a lot to "maybe be able to get a tiny bit at the trade deadline in 2024".2 points

That Grand Slam in Oakland that was reversed on appeal could have been a game changer. Hopefully he will have a similar moment over the next week to get confidence and back on track. A bucket load of singles and doubles would work as well.2 points

We were told this team was going to be competing for the top spots in the AL this year. They're 3rd from the bottom. They let a franchise favorite go to give this guy 1b, he's a top 3 draft pick, and right now he's a middling player on his way to a 1 WAR season. He's also in his first arb year next season, so he goes from making $700k to $3-4 million to $7-8 million over the next 2 years. Whether you count all this as hate or not I don't care, "3 weeks in the minors" is no longer an excuse when a team plans for a guy to be a strong middle of the order hitter.2 points

Most nights forfeiting game two would be better than actually watching it. The Athletic might send a reporter. Maybe JR thinks that's what we mean by "blowing it up". Championship Window Demolition Night would be a great fan organized event.2 points

i know managers don't matter but Pedro deserves way more than a 3 percent vote. My guess is he is somewhere between Bevington and the old LaRussa. Bring back Renteria and apologize to him for dumping him.2 points
