Here is the real thing: it doesn’t matter. They all need to go. Neither of them should have been making deals8 points

Anyone to beat the Cubs. The Sox have enough issues without them getting into the playoffs.6 points

I think everyone is making way too much out of it. It was crunch time, she knows Kenny really well. Went with what is familiar.5 points

Why is there a cross next to TLR? Was he really dead this entire time and they just propped his corpse up in the dugout?5 points

Friedman selling him in exchange for more intl money tells me all I need to know about what was more valuable.4 points

Because there won't be a search and the already have their in-house guy lined up? These still are the JR White Sox.4 points

Even at his weight Jake Burger is one of the faster runners in MLB. And he hustles.3 points

Honestly just cutting out the sox scouts and having the dodgers to find the good young international arms might be a better plan...3 points

Here I found a pic of Hahn while Kenny makes a deal with the Marlins3 points

People just don't seem to realize that no one does all of the work by themselves in any organization. It's just too much. They all work together with the GM having the final say. He consults KW on nearly all deals. When it was crunch time she called the person she knows the best. KW did not make this trade without working with Hahn.3 points
-
Kenny, you saved me from spending more money. God I love you. I am so sorry I allowed that Rick Hahn to mess up our normal operating procedure.2 points
-
Absolutely despise our approach to international. For an org that has struggled to maintain depth, they use it to pick one or two guys they like, then a bunch of guys that roll into camp. Imagine if paddy didn’t serve in a lazy org that demanded nothing of him? Maybe that was the appeal.2 points
-
Agree, she was hired by the Sox in 1991, let's not pretend that she didn't know who Rich Hahn is or that he's the GM in charge of trades. Add- I stand corrected, she was long gone by the time Hahn was hired.2 points

There is a far better chance Jerry considers a significant change in doing by someone he admires and trusts than his lackeys. She wouldn’t risk moving here for a promotion without making sure she has a good chance to make it work, regardless of Jerry’s shelf life. She has a good situation now that she no longer has to deal with Jeter, and a team with a lot of young talent.2 points

I get the feeling KW might recommend her to take over all operations since he wants to retire and he knows JR won't go for someone he isn't familiar with. But it won't matter if she can't convince JR to spend on R&D infrastructure.2 points

It's for whatever you feel about Burger. If you have perspective you realize there's room for growth which is the same thing you can say about Eder. Marlins wanted Burger for immediate offensive help . They know his current limitations and hope to unlock more positives down the line. 2 things to like about the Sox were Burger and Robert. That was it. One was taken away. If people want to be a little down about it they can. If they want to bash Burger they can. I don't see any point in raining on anyone parade that they will miss the player and person he was for the Sox. They need more guys like him who actually give a damn and strive to improve.2 points

He's loyal to a fault. At some point, results have to matter and heads have to roll.2 points
-
Pretty narrow minded thinking. Marlins as a team are tops or near it in batting average. What they lack is power to get those big inngs.Burger has combined more extra base hits than singles. They also realize that also he is 27 that he has missed 3 crucial development years and that he has room to improve. Why even bother talking about his weight and OBP when the thing they wanted was his power and work ethic and years to see if he could me more than that since she also said he had 80 grade makeup. I think both sides got what they. We'll just have to wait a bit to see if both Burger and Eder have more in them.2 points

As a kid I used to cheer for the uniform. As a more informed adult I generally want to like (or at least not dislike) the guys I’ve decided to root for. Almost impossible for me with this team now that Burger and Giolito are gone.2 points

I'm too am pulling for the Rays. I also am pulling for Jake to finish strong and be one of the reasons the Marlins make the playoffs.2 points

You’re exactly right, which just means KW is just as responsible for this mess as Hahn is and they all need to go.2 points

Might have been interesting to send Patino's film to all our pitching coaches. Whoever had best insight/ plan gets him first but what do I know.2 points

I are cheering for a 107 loss season to set the new White Sox record, so it might embarrass the POS demented owner enough to fire his entire front office and go to the outside.2 points

Probably the Rangers, Rays, and/or Mariners . And maybe the Orioles. Mostly teams that haven’t won it before. Nothing from this team.2 points
-
It’s likely both. They’re clearly incompetent. That needs no further proof. Better candidates probably weren’t willing to take the job because they saw what we all now see, that the team is going nowhere fast and the front office is not good at their jobs. A guy who has been demoted from the bench coach position since 2014? Two announcers who have never coached (one of which is in his 70s)? They seem equally likely to get the job. All very White Sox/bad moves.2 points

Yep. Looks like @Harold's Leg Lift was right and RH is basically getting his GM salary for being just a glorified WH press secretary at this point.2 points

Well we now know replacing the players hasn't worked, replacing the coaches hasn't worked, and replacing the manager hasn't worked. So...what does that leave???2 points

If they revamp the front office, Mike Shirley deserves to stay on Colson Montgomery alone. He has a 178 wrC+. Absolutely absurd.2 points

Barons will be shifting to a 6 man rotation to accommodate the new arms. Bush and Eder pitch Sat/Sun. Trash Pandas wave the white flag with a position player on the mound for bottom 8, so the Barons should finally get a win. Just for good measure though, Colson reaches base for a sixth time on a HBP.2 points

Lol, Colson just refuses to make an out tonight. 3-3 with 2BB, HR, 2B, 3RBI and 3 runs scored.2 points

This should be a lesson that you don’t spend big money on RP. Unless you’re truly a CL/RP away from a title, it’s one of the worst uses of resources. The Sox were spending what like $35M+ on RP’s entering the season, that’s crazy.2 points

Steve Stone who I’m sure is financially set and could care less if he was fired would be the perfect guy to call out the troubles with this organization including the manager and most of the players, what we’ve seen this year is an utter disgrace and beyond embarrassing.2 points
