Stop defending Tony. He was awful too and this season doesn’t change that.12 points

Except both of these things can be true: 1) Tony La Russa was absolutely overmatched as a manager and made poor decisions throughout his Sox tenure that limited this team AND 2) Rick Hahn sucks at drafting and sucks at acquiring talent and this group doesn’t play well together and is talented but doesn’t know how to live up to it.8 points

It’s amazing how much this organization is held hostage by Jerry. Under no circumstance should Rick Hahn still be calling the shots. How many years of terrible decision-making and underperformance are allowed before we finally make a change? And why is KW still technically around as our head of baseball operations? What the f*** does he do other than make sure the pro-nepotism ways of this organization’s past carry forward? And don’t get me started on the international man of mystery Jeremy Haber, whose next accomplishment would almost certainly be his first. These clowns should all be long gone and yet here they are still making baffling decisions because old man Jerry plans to die with this franchise to ensure that his children inherit the most cash possible and doesn’t want to stir s%*# up too much in the meantime. Until then, we will all suffer through the last dying days of this competitive window and then get the pleasure of watching Rick sell off a few pieces before attempting another half-assed go for it strategy. We deserve so much better than bullshit, but Sox fans will continue to suffer until the reign of Jerry comes to an end.6 points

Rick sucks too. But to act like Tony doesn’t deserve any blame is ridiculous and stupid.6 points

That inning actually reduced Diekmans ERA! Good work, Jake.5 points

This team legit sucks. Two backups hit bombs and give us a four run lead in the 1st for our ace and we still can’t get it done.5 points

That's why they should've never gotten rid of Yolmer. You need a professional to handle those Gatorade jugs.5 points

I would think a good organization would have some control over the selection of songs the players choose. I get it's the choice of the player, but it has to be within reason and in good taste. Are you telling me Clevinger could just pick this song or any song and nobody in the front office has knowledge or a clue it's going to be played? Just another example of a sh*t-hole organization run by loser front office executives. Furthermore, why in the world if Clevinger already was coming into this season with BS crap, would he even remotely consider doing something controversial. This guy has got to have the personality and intelligence of a delict moron.5 points

“Can you believe that game? The guys are clearly feeling the pressure and wearing out already.” ”I know, but I know you could have prevented it “ ”Well, together we could have, but you can’t blame Jerry. The fanbase had his hands tied.” “Yeah I guess so. Well, take care Tony.” “You too Leury.”4 points

Vaughn and Jimenez have a combined 86 at bats this season with zero home runs. If Benintendi, Andrus and Anderson are added, they have a combined 248 at bats without a single home run. That's nearly unbelievable.4 points

I see a lot of Sox fans angry at how Pedro is using the bullpen, but what do you want him to do? Hahn's bullpen is $44 million and its the worst in baseball.4 points

So if they don’t play with and show emotion they’re wrong and if they do display emotion when playing and winning they’re wrong. That’s a tough line to walk.4 points

Does the 3 batter minimum count if your team straight up releases the pitcher after facing 1 batter? Or does that transaction have to wait until the pitcher is out of the game?4 points

Pedro not 1% impressive as manager, KC leftover not ready for prime time. Another lip service guy in organization.3 points

JR and EE turned out to be the biggest con men on the planet. They lost my respect way back on the night they clinched the division in 1983 and went on TV and trashed Harry Caray and Jimmy Piersall and of course trashed Veeck from the minute they bought the club from him.3 points

They literally could gut the 40-man with KW making the moves, and I would accept that.3 points

They were all very good prospects but they're below average major leaguers.3 points

I think calling this group talented, at this point in time is a stretch. The sample size is good enough for me, this is a very average collection of players assembled. We got fooled by the scouting and development.3 points

Must win game. No fucking excuses, get the W today or fall to an embarrassing .375 winning percentage. I want to see good offense, defense, pitching, & coaching all in a single game and that game better be today. Let’s fucking go!!2 points

So you’re saying, if I were that good, that I shouldn’t be able to come out to Prince’s “Sexy Motherfucker?” ?2 points

Huh? Edwin Diaz jumping up and down an inch and blowing out his knee is the definition of a freak injury lol. They're professional athletes. They don't need to be bubbled wrapped but injuries can still occur at anytime.2 points

Throwing a huge amount of ice water or gaterade is stupid. It's childish. Why do it? Because we won a game in April? Somehow it became fashionable, because it's on TV. Many of you are not old enough to remember, but this practice killed, yes killed old football Coach George Allen. It was cold out, he caught pneumonia, and never recovered. Yet, the beat goes on.2 points

Hope Solak clears waivers. Doesn’t look like he’s been outrighted before. Would be nice non 40 man depth. I would have just sent Alberto packing, myself.2 points

First off, what did this clown think he accomplished with this? Secondly, how does whoever is in charge of actually playing it go through with it?2 points

Maybe he'll come through at the plate today, but I'm very much looking forward to the Sheets as an outfielder experiment ending2 points

Just like to mention that Sholtens started for Charlotte tonight getting the win. He went five innings with 11 Ks and NO walks allowed2 points

If our hitters were selective we would be walking 8 times a game. Opponents realize our guys are all over the place and are being patient2 points

Should have hired a manager from a winning organization, certainly not the Royals.2 points

It's always about Sheets being better against righties. But Burger has only had about 30 ABs against righties in the majors. And Sheets isn't real good against lefties. He's just ok. Given the opportunity, Burger would end up better from either side of the plate.2 points
