Yeah I get it. I just think if he can figure out how to consistently hit 35-40 bombs a year that is a bat worth keeping, and is more valuable in the lineup and worth saving his back. Vargas is a fine third baseman.

If he throws it like a normal person and not an idiot it's either an out or no runs score.

They are going to play him, Vargas, Roch and Mune every day but you’ll likely see them cycle through a lot of combos throughout the season to make use of the DH.

Castillo had a great fastball today, but he could not throw his other pitches competitively. That's why Boston looked way better the 2nd time around. If that's what Castillo is going to be, the Sox are in trouble.
